Of course, but even with that philosophy you usually have players that specialise in defending. The likes of Sandro, Wanyama could all affect attacking situations but they knew how to defend. I don't see anyone in the team above that can do that. It feels like our centre halves are the only defenders we have.
Thankfully Sonny’s injury doesn’t sound too bad so even if he misses tomorrow I think he should be back after the break, so worst case scenario is we have to endure Werner starting just the once more at the moment. Moore should start if Son can’t but as others have said, it’s probably doubtful (when it absolutely shouldn’t be).
It might be unpopular opinion but I hope Son misses today and then doesn’t play for Korea. He could really do with the rest. The fact he has to travel half way round the world all the time for international duty, it’s no wonder he is fatigued.
I really hope that’s the case, as a fit and fresh son alongside, solanke and Johnson on form is an exciting prospect
Given that Brighton allegedly play a high defensive line, Werner would be a good choice today if his 1 vs 1 scoring and crossing/passing assist rates were decent.
Ange not yet confident enough this season on the CB/FB rotation/resting. I assume in the international break he trusts.
