No idea why part of Jones’ post match press conference last night was spent by him defending his record at Southampton (“David Blaine wouldn’t have succeeded there”) Jones has got skin that’s thinner than tissue paper.
I think he has made a rod for his own back by castigating our fans. The first rule of football keep your fans onside.
Jones was very precise in his language as well. He talked about being abused by his own fans after he went over to them after the Bristol Rovers defeat. In other words - our real hardcore. Not forum fans - people who stump up good money to travel mid week, taking time off work etc A real misjudgement from NJ there.
He should be man enough to take it. I don’t believe in personal abuse, but the travelling hardcore of fans had every right to voice their displeasure.
What an idiot. Believes his own hype. Gone off him big time despite a first good display yesterday. I say good but stats say we only had 1 shot on target again so not that special. Birmingham had none so clearly we deserved the points having had 1 shot more on target.
