Not sure if you've read much about the Syrian civil war, or the current civil war in Sudan? Both conflicts vastly outnumber anything Israel has ever done, both in terms of casualties and material damage. Both conflicts fuelled and armed directly by Iran. They have given $16 billion to Assad to spend on massacring his own people, and have shipped $300 million of weapons to the SAF to do the same in Sudan. They win on numbers. They win on damage. They win on displaced refugees. They win on sheer geographical reach, having instigated and fuelled conflicts in Sudan, Yemen, Syria, Lebanon and Iraq. And, it would seem, they have also won in the imbecilic court of public opinion.
Just imagine for a moment if a Muslim state was set up in the middle of Europe, headed up by fundamentalists and Muslims worldwide were encouraged to come and make it their new home. This state then illegally expands its borders by force, encourages its people to build their homes on other people's land and the native population are put down with force, their rights taken away and forced to live in an open prison which was their home. This state is well funded, armed and given diplomatic immunity by Iran and any attempt to criticise what it does is deemed as Islamophobic. Pretty sure the west wouldn't have a problem with that
I doubt those around it would try and wipe it out on day one and then start crying about apartheid when it doesn’t work. There are of course many Muslim states and I doubt they were all achieved through peace and good bants.
I think Iran are as ****ed up, so you can drop the condescending nonsense. But again, you talk about Iran and do not recognise or acknowledge any of the issues that Israel are contributing to creating conflict.
Again, I've repeatedly said that settlements are an obstacle to peace. I've also repeatedly said that I want Netanyahu stripped of power permanently, and an overhaul of the electoral system so that far right parties cannot play kingmaker in the Knesset. But I will not budge from my belief that if Iran disappeared tomorrow, the whole region would be much closer to peace. If Israel disappeared tomorrow, the region would be much closer to a far more deadly conflict between the Sunni gulf and Shi'ite states.
It's not just about settlements though is it, you know that and you try to down play it by trying to oversimplify it. When I talk about Israel's behaviour, I am talking about the indiscriminate killing of tens of thousands of innocent men, women and children. The bombing of their homes as they sleep. The destruction of their cities and ways of life. The ongoing oppression brought about by the Illegal occupation. All of which you seem to want to brush under the carpet and blame Iran for. There are people in Iran, who like you, think that if Israel disappeared tomorrow, the whole region would be closer to peace. But neither are going to happen.
