It will also mean the end of Robbie Brady's proposed Loan move to Sunderland in Jan. MON will have his own plans, yet the club have said MON will have to work with what he has as there is no money left. Oh dear, not a good start Martin is it. ?

I don't think there was ever a loan move for Brady to Sunderland, it was just paper talk driven by the Bruce/Man United link.

It will be interesting to see what effect MON has on the squad players at Sunland. He usually gets more out of them than most, but there are always the ones which don't give a damn. So unless he wheels and deals (most likely) and does some swaps he is pretty much wedded to them now.

Incredible record as a manager M O'Neil. Undefeated in 75% of games in charge.

Just looking on his wiki write up and there's a lot I didn't know about him.

    1. He was a Sunderland fan as a kid.

    2. He's a part qualified criminologist.

    3. He was all signed up to manage TWS until Ridsdale left.

He is very good, no argument about that. Just wonder if he still has it in him still. Hope he has in a way.

The Ridsdale thing, signing a pre-nup that is the only thing I hold against him.

indeed..... yet that has been picked up and driven by many in the media. but i think there was something in it, not sure how much though. even last night that babbling baffoon G Lloyd was going on about it. unless i have missed something the only thing Confirmed about Brady is that a decision will be made in January on him by Man Utd. Now that Man U are out of the CC it will be interesting to see whoElse SAF allows to go out on season long loans.

thats already been labelled at brucies summer signings. Wes Brown and John O'Shea have been dire so far. MON has a massive job on his hands for sure.

I think O'Neill will like Turner, could really improve his game. Like he did with Matty Elliott at Leicester. Better centre half than Cahill in my book.

I knew there was another thing I missed off the list of MoN things I didn't know:

He left Norwich after a very short spell due to an argument about signing Dean Windass.

Are you mad ! How on earth can you call Brown and O'Shea dire? Brown has been a revelation, O'Shea has been good but played out of position, Larsson has been brilliant.
We have the third best defensive record in the premier league - not bad for 'dire' players eh!

Goal scoring has been the problem, Wickham injured, Campbell injured, Ji settling in from Korea, Gyan buggered off to the Arabs - only leaves one really 'dire' striker called Bendtner.

BUT MARTIN O'NEILL WILL GET US IN TO THE TOP HALF, BELIEVE ME !

I wondered if it was Fergies way of saying "use em or lose em", after he was benched.

well if MON does then he should be given the freedom of the city. It would certainly rank as one of his best achievements in football if he did. your lucky that there are 3 teams worse than you.

well if it was maybe Fergie should have a word in Bradys ear. We want to use him but playing the way he is at the moment.

Brady and Stewart on top form will destroy any team in this league bar none.
