Are you sure he's been recalled right now? Those loan rules we were looking at a couple of weeks back stated you can only recall someone on a long-term loan if it's a season-long one, and even then you can only recall them in January.
Cooper had potential but he's not a proven first-team player, Cullen was similar, he looked great initially but when given a run in the team proved very average, I'd not write him off by any means though
Fair enough, presumably it can't happen until January though? Unless they have got some sort of special dispensation based on all 3 parties wanting it to happen or something.
He's already back, I suspect he might even be playing in the behind closed doors friendly now. It's not actually a recall, it was just terminated immediately, as all parties agreed it was for the best.
andy dawson came on as a substitute agen burnley as a left defensive minded left midfielder, not as a left winger. stupid?
It was at Cooper's request as he was barely playing. Huddersfield obviously weren't too fussed because he's backup, and we need covering defenders so it works out pretty well for everyone.
Agreed, should have pushed Dudgeon left midfield, Dawson left back. For 10 minutes neither seemed to know who was left back and who was left midfield!
and Nick will live and learn. I can understand him not wishing to disturb a settled back 4 at the time he made that change but hindsight is a wonderful thing. I wonder if Saturday will be a good time to bring in Daws at left back as we did earlier in the season to steady the ship so to speak? Maybe a move for Dudgeon to midfield and a change in formation?
Agree with Una Bomber, he's not been getting played there so he might go out on loan again to a different club.
