I do it sometimes if we are winning or getting battered and I'm driving the 200 miles home straight after. Wouldn't of left that one like. Too close.
Glad to see RLB acknowledge that the 541 out of possession was an error on his part. I feel that period after our first and their first where we switched to that. It completely killed it for us. It creates such a massive gap in the midfield that Tanaka exploited all night. I hope to see us stick with the 442 out of possession. personally think we’ve got off very lucky but a lot to learn
Said i'd wait till tomorrow to post something thoughtful but **** it i'll do it now. Leeds are good. I know xG is a marmite subject but the most open play xG Leeds had conceded this season in a single game was 0.49 to Burnley, we had 1.68 tonight. That's very good. Didn't like how we reacted to our goal at the start, and really didn't like the 541 defensive shape with Neil in the backline. As soon as we moved back to our 442 we were much better. Some really good individual performances, Jobe, Cirkin, Roberts in particular. Jobe, for me, is our best player. I don't think i've liked a SAFC player more in my life. His playing style, attitude and ability is just everything I want in a SAFC player. Top class. I think we missed Mayenda tonight. Isidor is a tireless worker, but his positioning and impact in the defensive phase is poor. It's fine against the likes of Derby but in games like that where we are going to spend the majority of the game without the ball we need more from him. 2-2 is probably a fair result. I think we might just be a genuine contender.
Home bloody hell no wonder I have high blood pressure. Deserved it to be fair. A dodgy 20 minutes but overall competed very well with the alleged favourites for promotion
I literally had that realisation during tonight’s match. Sat and thought those exact words to myself.
Was that why Neil kept slotting into defence? We really struggled with their midfield first half mind, Tanaka was all over and Rothwell had so much time on the ball.
Jobe did well today, he could have scored as he had some decent chances, but no sitters and his overall play was very solid. We needed him, he's dominating our midfield. Thought O'Nien was our best defender, hell of a tough game but he was very solid and reliable. As well as bringing it out of defence nicely and pinging accurate balls forward as usual.
I’ve only just got home 10 mins ago and I only live at Chester. People with kids probably wanting to beat the traffic and not be out until 11pm I’d imagine! Leaving 10 minutes earlier probably gets them home half hour earlier if not more.
