The idea is to allow full backs to go wide and negate wingers. 3rd time I have seen it this season. It can be a really clever tactic if we turn over possession and the full backs go high. We have Cirkin showing a massive willingness to go forward as a result. I think it is a smart tactic at times.
He's come on so much since last season. I know it's obvious but he reminds me a lot of his brother - the way he plays the game, the football arrogance he's starting to gain, strolling around the pitch. Hope we can hold into him for a while yet
Just dint think it works against teams playing 1 CF, leaves 3 CBs against 1 CF. I'd rather have 2 CDMs in front blocking the space
