What type of striker do we actually need?

What type of striker do we need?

  1. Target Man - Like for like replacement of 'him'

  2. Creative Man - Happy on the ball and bring others into play

  3. Fast Man - Has pace to get the through balls and assist in wing play

  4. Hard Man - An old fashioned clogger who cause problems for defences

  5. Other?

We need two first team strikers - your polls "fast man" and "hard man"

Just seen No Way Past Jose's post - THIS

  2. I reckon we could use a half decent target man, and stick him next to a quality, fast man.

    How about Bendtner and Dafoe?

We have the tall target man in Shola, he's strong and can hold the ball up well so what we need is someone with pace to run onto through balls and can finish well = Fast man. Shola has a great snap shot, can pull the trigger quickly when required where as the fast man we need should have good ball control and be able to stay onside....something Shola has a problem with.

As seems the be the consensus I'd want a good all-round target man, and a faster all out goal scorer, although if we can't get the second I think Ben Arfa would be able to do the job.

  6. Shola is an average player, decent in the air, decent knock downs, but **** agility and passing. Not good enough.

He's good enough to recieve the ball and play it to someone like a fast man who can stay onside and control the ball. Shola has trouble with ball control on the ground, not in the air or off his chest.

Willem Dafoe? Fine actor, but probably a bit older than our current transfer policy demands.

    Oscar Cardozo?

I've not seen him this season, plays for Benfica, 6ft 3/4 I think. Similar to a certain someone, not as good in the air but better on the floor from what I remember.

Might be expensive though, im sure he's canny pivotal for Benfica.

I'd say he's even better than Mr C in the air, his headers actually end up in the back of the net! He's a good goal scorer but has been known to sulk. He is hated by the Paraguay fans as they say he is lazy and doesn't pull his weight. I'd still take him mind but I reckon he'd cost around £10m.

I haven't seen loads of him to be honest. Just from what I have saw he seems to be a big improvement from our curent front line.

First heard of him through FM then noticed him IRL a few years ago and just kept an eye out for him since.
