tbf Hezbollah are local too but Lebanon is full of different cultures / religions and unfortunately Shias are the biggest group and backed by Iran so the Govt is pretty powerless as Hezbollah are better equipped than the Lebanese army so they in effect control the South and their actions resonate over the whole of Lebanon .
They’ve walked about 50 metres inside the place to push Hezbollah fighters away from the area. There’s no invasion of Lebanon as such. They’re just going after the Hezbollah terrorists who have terrorised them with rockets every day for virtually a year. Imagine that was the UK and we took nearly a full year to push back people away from our border who had been firing rockets on a daily basis trying to kill us? We’d be going mad. Israel have showed so much restraint over this, it should be applauded.
Think enough is enough mate, clearly the Iranians are the puppet masters in all this, time to drop a big boy on them....on Iran that is, not Lebanon.
Piskie never going to agree with that. After Hamas raped and murdered hundreds of innocent civilians last year, he refused to call them terrorists until he was literally backed into a corner with no way out
Have you actually read the Saudi statement? It’s a generic cut and paste ‘maintain peace in the region please you guys’ comment rather than some tub-thumping threat to Israel to stay back. They’re about as arsed about Lebanon as I am.
A sobering thought (if true - I have no way of verifying this claim I read about) - the Gazan Health Ministry have published the names, ages and ID numbers of all those that have been killed during the destruction of Gaza... The first 14 pages cover the age range 0-1 year old ...
Might crack open the 2L Strongbow I’ve been saving for a special occasion if an Iranian nuclear facility gets blown up today. We’ll see.
Prosecco is a pet peeve of mine. It’s ****e women and gays pretend to enjoy. Oooh let’s get mimosas- grow up.
Cheaper than Champagne and marginally less trampish than cider. Thought it would be right up your street tbh
IDF will back out of Lebanon in a few days. The casualties will be too high and he’ll lose support if he leaves them in there.
