Remember last December?
Preston 1-5 Watford.

When Paul Heckingbottom began his Preston reign with a victory over Luton Town, the perception was that the storm clouds above Deepdale would soon be lifted.
Instead, Preston have failed to win any of their following four fixtures in the Championship, accumulating two points from a possible 12.

As for Watford, it appeared that all momentum had been lost having previously started the campaign with five successive victories in all competitions.
One point and a 4-1 reverse at Norwich across a three-game period left Tom Cleverley scrambling for answers despite the aforementioned perfect start in August.
However, on the back of a spirited 2-1 defeat at Manchester City in the EFL Cup, Watford returned to winning ways on Saturday by edging out Sunderland by the same scoreline.

So the question is, can Watford reproduce their good home performances away from The Vic? If they hope to stay in the top half of the table, they really need to do so.

Team News

Ryan Andrews comes back into the squad for Wednesday’s trip to Preston, easing a slight issue in the wing-back positions which surfaced in the second half against Sunderland on Saturday.
Daniel Bachmann was “very close” to being fit for the game on Wednesday but won’t make the trip to Preston, while both Francisco Sierralta and Kevin Keben are still weeks away from fitness. Angelo Ogbonna made an impressive home debut against Sunderland but the 36-year-old, like skipper Moussa Sissoko who is 35, will be watched carefully during a week which sees three league games played.

Going to have to miss the game as need to get a fridge and washing machine for me new gaff.

Think of me being dragged round shops looking at very similar things for ages!

Only have to go to keep the spending in check!
