Zambrano (don't usually pick a player who hasn't played the 90. Class.)

But Zambrano could easily have been 3rd for his cameo.

Fair play to the brains team, they’ve certainly assembled a squad of excellent young players.
Belloumi was excellent again, just missing the end product last night and Zambrano, wow, he’s looked good before but last night he was imperious for that 30 minute spell when he came on and dominated the midfield.
Several others had good games, Coyle as always but let down by the handball for the penalty and Jones looked more comfortable on the ball.
    Onwards and upwards!

    1. Pandur, that performance was 'Myhillesque', brilliant performance from the young man, and for the first ten it was he who kept us in it.

    2. Millar, always direct, with pace, final ball still needs upping at times, but his best performance in the shirt so far.

    3. Zambrano, I know he was a sub but my god did he change the nature of the game when he came on, so composed for one so young, real star in the making here.

Some other good performances out there too and special.mention to big Tim, did what was needed with the subs unlike a few managers in our recent history who have dithered too long. Saw we were getting overrun and changed it.

Well done City, very promising ( still work in progress too)

Could have included Zambrano, Belloumi, Coyle.......

Isn't it great having a strong, balanced bench. And another experienced striker to add to it still (and Puerta ... edit: and Hughes!!).

Bedia (for his pressing that led to quite a few turnovers)

Pandur - unbelievable saves during the first ten minutes, it could have been very different without the foundation he set.
Millar - all action, frightens defenders to death, once he sorts his final ball he’ll be lethal.
Zambrano - 20 years old and soooo calm under pressure, even when he slips he still gets the pass away, he just oozes class!
