already answered this, but he spent 92 million on 24 players, Downing Young Milner Delph were the best part of 40 million Collins and Dunne were 10 miilion for the pair.

3 have been sold for a profit since he left, Delph has had knee ligiment damage, and Collins and Dunne are still the mainstay of there defence.

90 million these days doesnt get you much if you want to break into the top echelons, Man United team against west brom cost the best part of 250 million and that was with 5 home grown players in it. (which they didnt have to pay for so i didnt count them in the sum). Rooney and Berbatov cost Man U 64 million between them.

Yeah sorry Bart, who are we kidding?

I'm ****ting myself, I really am. I'd be surprised if Sunderland don't win every single game from now until the end of the season. They might as well put Sunderland's name on the Cups now. Champions League here you come!

Is that what you'd rather read?

    Disclaimer: Tongue firmly in cheek.

While this may be true, I hope you don't mind me not putting my life savings on this outcome.

Good to see someone that isn't just being a cock for the sake of it. (Cest, Bart - Waste of space)

I see your point. But I personally would worry about the amount he would want to spend(probably due to the way Newcastle spunked stupid amount of millions away).

    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...Neill-spent-120million-years-Aston-Villa.html

30 players signed with £120million, is a lot especially with a lot of poor buys.

Coral will be in turmoil that your £3.11 + 2 duffel coat buttons wont be swelling the coffers.

Are you £300 up or something? I knew Bruce was a gonna, but I'll admit I thought Kean might've gone first and Wenger was touch and go early doors but he's got that sorted.

I dont think he will have a fortune to spend but if we do get him im sure he will join with his eyes wide open to the budget he will be working with, Quinny and Short seem honest enough.

Plus i dont seem to remember him spending a fortune at Wycombe, Leicester or Norwich and he did well at all three.

    But opinions are like arseholes.....

Don't try and piss on my fire then!
First time i've been warm inside for months.

    £50 at 6/1
    £10 at 7/1
Was going to increase it but the Blackburn fans going after Kean scared me.

Well i was doing the Net spend to get my 92 million, so thats even better.

and who are the duff ones he bought (btw most managers by duff once in awhile)

Curtis Davies maybe a bit pricey but he was a good player at the time
Downing they sold for a 10 million profit
Young they sold for a 6 million Profit
    Milner another 10 Million profit
Heskey maybe but he was only 3 million or so
    Carew was a free
Shorey for 4 million you could say as well

But other than that they done quite well, but in all honesty, i really dont see the big deal here after looking at the facts and figures, most managers break the bank just to keep up, pretty sure Moyes net spend is about 135 million, Pullis net spend is 90 million, and i dont even want to go near Redknapp at spurs, SAF, Wenger since he has been there, Mancini/Hughes Man City, Chelsea (and all the managers that they have had to build the squad they have now), Liverpool, but i bet all of the above spent more than 82 million Net spend to get where they are, or just to stay where they are.

Bloody DB error thought i had lost all that.
