Noswaith dda my Welsh cousins! I didn’t see the game myself as I was out for a meal with my younger daughter, but I was keeping a discreet eye on the commentary and by all accounts it was a good game of entertaining football. Here are the highlights: https://www.skysports.com/football/...nsea-1-1-bristol-city-championship-highlights There’s a lot of talk about the ‘foul’ on Max for your goal. These highlights show it quite clearly - but as one of your posters said earlier; sometimes you get the decision and sometimes you don’t (until he went off at a tangent spouting rubbish about Eastville……). Sentiments might have been different if we’d ended up losing 1-0…… Anyway, putting that aside, the highlights do show a very good game and a great advertisement for the Championship.
Manning played the first eleven that the majority of city fans wanted -excluding the injured players that would start normally start. Needs to keep the starting eleven for the two home games next week -Sunday we have Cardiff at 3pm
Disappointed with that performance yesterday...controlled the first half and should have had the game won but for some reason we came out in the second 45 looking to keep the 1 nil scoreline....BC were a good side but they should not have been close to us but they persevered and got a just result. We have to start playing for 90 plus minutes....
Morning Ugo - fully agree, we have to keep on the front foot for the full 90 mins. My two observations from your post: 1) need to keep Franco on for longer than 70 mins - may help us play for the full 90 to secure an overall winning outcome. 2) Vigs made a Worldie early on, I think that probably made a huge difference
As regards our goal - it would normally be given as a foul but you know what, I would like to see more goalkeeper "fouls" let go, they're normally not fouls but just someone breathing nearby. And instead of waving his arms in the air he should have made an effort to play on - any foul would have been more obvious as well then. We've made some decent signings this time round, especially the keeper, which is nice. And for the sake of repeating myself, we need to be creating more goal scoring chances, hopefully that'll come in time. I feel Vipotnik could be very effective up front but he had no service today.
Very disappointed tbh , all the previous promise shown seemed to disappear after the 46 minute, the only thing missing was Fulton coming on to hold onto the lead.. We're desperately in need of a goal threat ,as much as Vipotnik ran dragging the defenders here there and everywhere there was no one near him in dangerous areas to take advantage of his layoffs .Poor substitutions in terms of personnel and timings just made us look more desperate then happy to hang onto a draw. .
