They aren't even defending properly with 10 men digging in and getting behind the ball. Spurs had more players in the utd box for that attack.

He's also a petulant twat, which isn't good when things are going badly. He's as likely to get booked for arguing with the ref as he is for a foul when things aren't going well. I don't think he's enough of a team player to reign himself in for the good of the team and not being about him, as you describe about him floating in and out of games.
