Good result and good performance at last.... this type of effort had gone missing, so now they have to try and do something similar away from home. I would expect people will now finally stop ****ing around with left back and give Hall that position... he's the best left back we've got at the club by miles. Everton are a totally different side to City, they'll make it rough... can Newcastle show they have the minerals on the road or will they be passive once again?
The minerals on the road? What the holy **** Everton are a totally a different side to City as in they're like your local pub team compared to City, and we've already established your away from home obsession is all in your head.
How many games did Newcastle win away from home last season? I'm actually amazed you're not aware of Newcastle's issues on the road. Everyone knows man city are better a football team, but Newcastle managed to bully city. They won't have as much success bullying Everton because they're a more physical side themselves. Hopefully you can understand now. 11th best away from over last season is why you lost our bet and didn't honour it... home form was fine.
6 games, and 9 including the cups. Again you're talking about an issue that might have been relevant 9 months ago but clearly isn't now, away record since then - W6 D1 L4. We didn't "bully" Man City, we just played well against them, holding are own against City doesn't mean we're bullying them. City are far more physical than Everton, just cos they have better players doesn't mean they're not physical.
Love that you realised the number was 6 so desperately added in the cups. You posted the full season from the 22/23 season now you want to look at parts of last season rather than the full season. Its easier to just acknowledge that they need to improve away from home... you especially given you think they'll come 3rd. I never said they didn't play well but if you didn't notice the physical advantage Newcastle had then that's fine.
You asked how many so I answered you, with the distinction of what is league and not. Your analysis is far more selective - you make out we have a bad away record by only focusing on the first half of last season, when the record of the last 2 years disproves this. That's why you need to resort to posting interviews from 9 months ago. Physical advantage? So you're saying Haaland, Walker, Kovacic, Dias, Akanji and Gundogan are not physical?
6 out of 19 was the answer, so like I say that will need to improve... how can they come 3rd like you think with that away issue.
And the year before it was only 2 better than that, in 8 out of 19, but we had the 3rd best away from in the league.
I've already established you want to look at a full season when it suits and when it doesn't only handful of of games that do. You post a full season so I post the last full season and then you want to look at half a season. Now we're back to a full season from the season before last.
No hang on, that's what you do, hence why you post interviews from 9 months ago halfway through last season.
No it's exactly what you've done. You must be the only person that can't see the away issue... the manager, the players. The journalists and even right down to myself can It's easier to just acknowledge the fact and hope it improves.
And back to "the entire world agrees with me" angle The fact the away form was bad the first half of last season and then improved massively afterwards and has been good this season doesn't mean we have a current away form issue. Nor do interviews from 9 months ago. The players have not said this recently, not have the journalists or the manager. Why? Cos facts prove it wrong.
They have said it, they've discussed it together and the manager has acknowledged it. your so called facts are deduced from picking out the bits you like... one minute you use the full season the next gold a season from the season following. Strangely you think the club will finish 3rd when they have won 7 from the last 22 away from home. They'll need to improve that or you can forget top 6 never mind top 4.. that's the top and bottom of it. You like I say must be the only person that doesn't realise that.
Ah, so you've been in on the team talks now have you? The facts are based on facts. You're the only one using part of a season because only part of a season illustrates your point, the fact away from improved massively post January completely negates your point and shows it is not a current issue. The 3rd was an optimistic prediction at the start of the season, and I did even say at the time I was sticking my neck out and being optimistic. My point was not that I was going to vehemently think we'll finish 3rd all season, it was an optimistic point in time prediction.
No I've listened to them when they've been asked about it. The ultimate fact is that the away performances and results need to improve and that's the bottom line. It's fine if you want to think otherwise and I'm not going to be fooled by your stat's that only look at the good parts.
Ok, I'm out, this is going into all our insanity. There's no point me presenting facts when you counter them with things like interviews from 9 months ago and mythical suggestions of what was said in the team talk I think we have a reasonable chance to beat Everton, the reason being cos they're bad. I don't think the away form will be an issue because it hasn't been an issue since mid January. That is all.
Your facts are the good parts and found via the emotional decision making process. The interviews were also this season. Newcastle have a reasonable chance to win at Everton I never said otherwise. I said it would be tough.
