This entirely. I'd love to say that if Isak was playing the score would be in our favour but then Murphy wouldn't be playing and he's been our best outlet of the front three in the game. I'm not certain what Gordon is actually doing, he's a very different player to the one we had last year, I'm sure we'll get him back at some point but am wary of the Everton game next week - feels like a red card waiting to happen.
I’m a bedwetter. Probably our best performance of the season. We are creating chances. We conceded a goal which was poor defending. We are still in the game.
Would disagree with any of this - most consistent 45mins of the season Midfield looks so much better - Tonali been good so far
Their defence is exceptional tbf, we can have plenty of play in midfield, but still never get close to carving out a chance.
It may be my age but the way headlines are phrased annoys me too. If they'd been playing better and we scored then the headline would say "Newcastle score against the run of play" but instead I see on the BBC it says the "Gvardiola open the scoring for Man City". Opens, like there's inevitably more scoring they're going to be doing. I'm sure it's correct but they could at least try and hide their view!
