VIP Wednesday Great race to get us started today! There will be more out soon but this one is race of the day for me really looking forward to it !!! 3.30 YARMOUTH - KARMOLOGY 9/1 - 1 point and RAINBOWS EDGE 7/1 1 point This listed race is headed by the exciting and stand out prospect ESTRANGE who looks like she may well go off odds on in this listed contest for this fillies contest. I do not want to put anyone off this horse today as in all honesty she looked like a potential superstar on debut. She is well bred for it and cost a hefty £440,000 for the O Meara camp and she won her first race by 5 lengths without even trying. She beat some fairly decent horses in the process but she has been thrown into the deep end in this listed race on what will be her second start. She may well need a bit more to beat some of these who hold a wealth of experience in comparaison. As I say if you fancy her - go for it - she’s exciting and I’m looking forward to seeing her. I just think there’s more value in the race. That value for me is with KARMOLOGY who Ryan Moore will ride. She has been running well in deep handicaps at York included a second place in a listed. Her form lines are rock solid especially after Nakeels win the other day who she was 3 and half lengths ahead of at York. Scenic, Verbier and Bint Al Dear have all ran very strong in defeat in high grade races since. I’ve been following her in her past few races closely and think she is a brilliant price today as I’d expect her to be closer to 4/1 than 9/1. Secondly RAINBOWS EDGE form has been franked by Sea of Roses winning a listed at Windsor ove Deira Mile (who came 3rd in Ledger) this is a very strong from line in my opinion for the Gosden horse and can’t be ignored. Her record is only blemished by a 50/1 shot that ran a freak race in HIGH SPIRITED (runs in this race also at 33/1 ) - that Candy horse is being overlooked in the marker in terms of price and is definitely worth a closer look also. Total points 2. VIP Yarmouth 40.5 YARMOUTH - ROI DE FRANCE 11/10 - 1 point There are no real bankers in racing but they are some exciting prospects that should be doing the business and moving on to better things. That is what is expected of ROI DE FRANCE today and the fact the horse is fav for the Camrbridgeshire already is indication of the potential. Well backed already this Gosden horse beat the fav LTO in AMPHIUS who stepped up in class and won well next time out. The second in the race also ran well indeed defeat so it’s highly likely we see a good run today. 4.40 YARMOUTH - OVERTURE 10/3 - 1 point win Although a big ask to complete the four timer in these conditions the price is right to gamble at 10/3 for OVERTURE. She is in fine form and looks to simply be going through the motions in her recent wins. Her potential has been unlocked by the further distances and she looks well at home over this trip. She’s 21bs up in the handicap since she won the class 6 in August but she’s in very good hands with the Prescott team who have seen her go from strength to strength as she’s moved up the handicap. There’s a few class droppers in here that may well cause her problems if she doesn’t find extra today - notably the well backed Jim Crowley horse ALHATTAN and one I’ve followed this season LINCOLN ROCKSTAR. They may have to settle for the runner up spots as OVERTURE should have more to offer. She won by nearly 5 lengths at Southwell but concerning hung when put under pressure and badly. She will need to have that kink ironed out and will not get away with that now up in grade. Realistically she could of won that race by 10 lengths if asked and when you watch it back you can see she has more to offer despite that concern. Total points 2.

In running the price dropped to high single figures. Fleetingly. The sp on the exchange was 200 ish. Nice bit of place money.
VIP SATURDAY CHESTER and NEWBURY 1.30 - NO HALF MEASURES - 9/1 - 0.5 EW - 3 places paid 2.05 - FLASH BARDOT - 9/1 - 0.5 EW - 5 places paid (can take 6/5 on 365 to finish top 5) 3.15 - POWERFUL GLORY - 7/4 - 1 point win Return to minimum trip should see a good run from NO HALF MEASURES. A bit more proven at this level than some of these other sprinters at this point in my opinion and probably the best value in the race with other trackers being well bet at this point. There is a 365 offer for ADAAYINDEVON or ANNAF to win at 23/10 … not bad value that with both short now. RELIEF RALLY has been backed into fav… a horse I’m very fond of also. Thought she was going to be a star sprinter at one point to be honest. All in all it’s a very good race this but my bets down with NO HALF MEASURES at 9/1 FLASH BARDOT should handle conditions a lot better than most. Has seen some market support already and has proven to be more than capable at this mark. The 3.15 has fell apart a bit due to non runners so POWERFUL GLORY now has no real excuses if losing today. Well backed on debut and got the job done stylishly. SARAB STAR is interesting and tracked but this might of come too soon. CHESTER 5.20 - CHESTER - QITAAL 6/4 - 1 point win Franny Norton will look to end his 30 year today wit h a win a Chester. Wish him all the best for the future he’s one of the old guard who heads into retirement. Over 2000 winners for Franny, he should be able to add at least one more winner to that tally this afternoon on RANEENN who is 1/5 in the market with main rival withdrawn. I doubt he will want to go out losing on a 1/5 shot… However it’s QITAAL in the last race that I’m betting on today can always double the two up if you like. QITAAL drops into class 4 company for the first time since the very start of his career. Had a long lay off but has ran with credit this year placing in a few class 2 events - this drop in class should see him win have a good chance to get back to winning ways. Franny has a few other decent rides today here at Chester - NIGHT ON EARTH is a 14/1 shot who is a decent horse but he seems to struggle at this class level. Looks a good EW. He has been backed into fav on mounts in the 3.40 SOUTH PARADE and 4.45 SMALL FRY. I’ve had a 2 point small lucky on his rides today for interest but main one I fancy to win is QITAAL who I’ve done a 1 point win on also. Hopefully goes out with a few winners and all the best to Franny for the future!! TOTAL POINTS - 2
VIP SUNDAY HAMILTON 3.42 - MIDNIGHT AFFAIR 10/1 - 0.5 EW Oisin Orr is reunited with MIDNIGHT AFFAIR - he nearly got the horse up off this same mark at Nottingham in a close finish. Didn’t do well over 5 furlongs next time out but ran another big race most recently at Thirsk when 3rd when back at the 6 furlongs trip. Considering she has been running very well in company with the males, she should well out run these odds today if handling ground now back amongst fillie company. 4.42 - HIERARCHY 2/1 - 1 point win Saffie Osbourne only mounts two at Hamilton today. She is on the 6/1 fav POWERDRESS in the 3.42 but more notable rides HIERARCHY again. She was on last time out in a close 3rd place at Salisbury. It was a very good and close effort that was managed despite a poor start to the race. We are off an unchanged mark but drop down in class today. Looks a good opportunity for HIERARCHY to win again - now 6lbs below last winning effort nearly a year ago to the day. 5.12 - SUSIESPARKLE 7/4 - 1 point win Won an apprentice race last week so there’s no penalty today. In fact she’s actually 2lbs better of due to Tabti’s claim here (he will claim 5 today over the 3lbs he claimed when she won at Thirsk last week) - conditions should be no issue based on the evidence of that run. VIP BEVERLEY UGO GREGORY 14/1 - 4.30 PALADIN 14/1 - 5.02 0.5 EW wins - Two others to look at today at Bev - UGO GREGORY 4.30 is a 4 time course winner. 14/1 price - mark is dropping, will need to lead early to win. Secondly at 14/1 we have PALADIN in the 5.02. Although off a year, his yards in good form. The horse has been gelded and handicapped has given him a chance. 1 point double. Double pays just shy of 3/1 We have been on NALA STAR when winning at Catterick. She was denied by a short head last time out and looks easy to side with in current form and in novice company again. EMARAATY ANA goes in for a small double. Price is short in this exciting class 2 race. Clarendon house is the main rival but has become a dodge pot really as can’t get out the stalls properly lately. This is EMARAATY ANAS to lose. He’s been running to a high standard lately - efforts in G1 races at Ascot and Meydan. Very hard to look past him here. Total points 2.
