The odds to win the cup now are obviously affected by the fact we still have to play the AFC game whilst everyone else is already through. Assuming we get through your odds are realistic.
I'd say they are right and giving us the win on Tuesday, looking at this the bookies fancy Chelsea,Spurs will probably do City and I'd fancy Brighton, can't see any other "shocks".
Spurs knocking City out would be huge and open it all up, it's very difficult to see beyond City otherwise.
Pep said he's not bothered with it so I can see it happening plus Spurs similar to us and have to take any chance for glory.
Their second team is still ridiculously strong though, even without most of their first team players, they were hammering us in the first half of the league cup match last year. Spurs will rest a few players as well.
Chelsea do have a far superior squad than us. That’s for sure. But first 11 wise and if we click we are more than capable of beating them. We need to get our intensity back. If the clear the air talks have actually happened. Then maybe it’s time we get back to what we do best.
Chelsea are a ****ing mess of a club. They don't know what their first 11 is cos they signed a million and one players and it's all a massive **** up and we've actually been surprised anyone's done well there cos of what a mess it is. Trying to analyse the Chelsea squad on the individual quality players is ridiculous. We finished above them 2 years ago, we're only 1 win of finishing above them last year and are on the same points as them now. Anyone who things Chelsea are miles ahead of us is legit mental.
They are starting to settle mate. Honestly if you have watched them this season they look quite good. The manager looks like he has a plan and a settled 11. Meanwhile this worries me. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-13895585/Anthony-Gordon-team-mates-Liverpool-Euro-2024.html But Spurs doing spurs things pleases me.
They're seriously not, and if you'd watched their last match against West Ham you'd realise they have huge alarm bells all over the place. Settled 11? Are you mental? They are the complete opposite of a settled 11. But anyway this is pointless, if you're worried about Chelsea at SJP I dunno what to do with you, as drawers go, it's very decent.
That’s fine. I understand your comments but you clearly have not watched them play much this season. We will hopefully go through. And the home tie is a good thing. Buy honestly they are a very good side now. And have played much better than we have thus far.
Urgh, Chelsea were massively vulnerable that match. West Ham were ****ing awful, I know people who support West Ham how said it's the worst WH had played in years.
Lol. I love your smug in the know superiority. I actually have watched Chelsea this season, and I'm happy with this draw.
I’m not being smug mate. I’m being real. They are getting their **** together and this far this season we have been poor. As I said best 11 and back to our intensity we would beat them. But it’s a tough game. Don’t always go for the defensive I’m on your side.
I'm not interested in sides and it wasn't defensive, it was a response to the "I appreciate your opinion, but I've watched them and I think this so you clearly haven't watched them". There were major weaknesses to exploit in their display Vs West Ham; West Ham were terrible in that match.
I have watched them. I said so. Thats just a fact. They are getting better and I think they have a good team. So facts here are I’ve watched them.
