Yeah somebody above said that, he seemed to have trouble getting into the game, I feel like Burstow with his pace might have been a better pick.

He might be the better choice against Cardiff to be fair, he's quicker and can finish. The only issue is, Cardiff have massive centre halves and he'd get bullied.

I'm away with the fairies today, so forgive me if I'm missing something obvious, but has he had any clear cut chances which he missed and had you thinking that should have been in? Imo he's just not had service yet

I know what you mean about Burstow, although he is over 6ft and 13st so he's not small, depends if he can put it about a bit.

I don't think he has, so I don't think his finishing should be under scrutiny. Other parts of his game worry me though, he reminds me of Tom Eaves more than anyone else, charging about with loads of intensity but always seeming a step behind everyone else.

I think Bedia has shown clear signs of getting into good positions if the right ball comes in... IMO, he's a pain in the arris to defenders as he never stops chasing them down..

I think to be fair Bedia was pushed in the back by Bocat which unbalanced him. When I saw it in real time, I thought it was a penalty on Bedia and then the tackle on Belloumi made sure of it.

With a potential offside sandwiched in-between the two.

I loathe VAR with a passion but it'd have been interesting to see what they made of it.

Probably the tackle on Belloumi wouldn't have come into it. If it wasn't given as a foul on Bedia, then I guess VAR would have ruled Belloumi offside.

No penalty. No miss. No nonchalant headed rebound. No surge of confidence? No ruthless killing off of the game?

One nil loss. Patience run out. Walter gone.

    Who knows? Small margins.

I recall chatting to this bloke outside of the old Colchester ground and asking him if he knew why the game had been called off at 2.20pm with loads of City fans already there.
He took me into the ground and pointed out the waterlogged corner area. That according to the ref was too dangerous. In hindsight he was probably right.....That bloke was Brian Horton....A nice guy and true gent...Always held him in the highest of regards.

I’m not the biggest fan of black and gold as a colour combination. It can be used in a way that’s classy but it usually ends up feeling like something cheap and tacky trying appear nice. Not being a fan of Kappa in general, I’m expecting the latter and hoping for a nice surprise.

Was it the John Player grand prix car that was black and gold?
    It always looked classy.
