Thought he was one of our best players in the latter stages of last season and he continued that form for the Netherlands in the Euros . Think he could be really important for us this season
Gakpo was probably MOTM, but Jones was a close second. Endo and Tsmikas are a worry if we ever have no other option, I know both are short of match practice but they were both poor tonight
We will regret having those two and not replaced by the end of the season but I think the ffp reasons will become clear.
Thought Endo was decent tonight. Won his tackles and took the ball and kept it simple. Not sure what else was meant to do? Tsimikas was an odd one. Made some odd decisions after commuted play. One moment he ran back and really got back into defence to make a tackle and then just left the ball. And then in the box completely missed a tackle but then did a weird diving header to try make the block (more than the West Ham defender managed for gakpos 2nd where turned his back and coward away from a scuffed effort). Seems to have a bit of Nunez about him whwre bit of a brain fart at times.
Ball 1: Aston Villa Ball 2: Brentford Ball 3: Brighton and Hove Albion Ball 4: Chelsea Ball 5: Crystal Palace Ball 6: Leicester City Ball 7: Manchester City Ball 8: Manchester United Ball 9: Preston North End Ball 10: Sheffield Wednesday Ball 11: Southampton Ball 12: Stoke City Ball 13: Tottenham Hotspur Ball 14: Arsenal Ball 15: Liverpool Ball 16: AFC Wimbledon or Newcastle Will be interesting
City manager claims to be playing reserved pregame so now is the time fat ange. Prove you always win something your second season. We will be out after that draw if they are pushing their first out.
If that's the incident I think you mean, I put that down to a lack of communication between him and Gomez - as Tsimikas won the ball and was running towards his own goal, I think he thought Joe was going to take it, and in the end they both left it. I thought he played well going forward, linking up with Gakpo, but his defending was erratic. Endo did ok, without setting the game alight.
Yup that’s the moment. Just looked messy and given tsimikas won the ball feel he should have taken charge and knocked it back but who knows if anything was said. Just seemed an odd one as he stopped which then put him the wrong side of the ball.
Hmm I don’t know about that. Nunez was unselfish and always looking for the best option imo, and thought Jones was excellent!
Our actions so far (sent everyone of any value out on loan, didnt give any kids a shot v west ham even off bench, couldnt sell morton so stuck him in the stiffs then jist left him on a bench until gsme eas won) Suggest we will not be the place for youth to go to for thr next while. I think we will be selling off most of those players of value once they deliver something on loan. Beck - average enough lb with a bit of physicality Chambers - a lightweight but talented lb/cb Doak - no end product Gordon- probably going to be wasted on a bench after injury. Koumas - half decent wide forwsrd/striker but lacks pace. Ramsay - injury prone? Bajcetic - still growing so lets see if he gets injured. Should be worth a bit. Stephenson. Average player with good physicality. Likely the next Beck. Scanlon - already injured long term We have nallo and nyoni and Ayman amd a few others we bought in so these will be watched so see if they get one second of time that's not enforced bench sitting. McConnell and danns have vanished to the long term injury pile. It's a big senior squad but with so many sub spots there should still be room for one kid. Bradley and quansah also need games so are lucky they have a clear senior role prior to the new regime arriving but their time will be limited also.
