What sort of time do you call this? Was worried.

 

Day off doing old man stuff, bloods, **** in a bag, dentist, cardio vascular all great fun.

 

Had wheelchair sevices round as the bearings are shot on one of my front casters . By the time he left he decided in needed both front caters , both rear tubeless tyres , new footplate and a new scissor brake

 

yeah man, steak and fried onions. Cooked on the fire, under some big pine forest. Can’t beat it.

Back in California now on the coast. I’m gonna seek out some good crab and chowder.

Have tried to eat a piece of each animal from each state. Had beef in Cal and Nevada, Bison in Utah and Wyoming, Idaho potatoes and more beef in Idaho. Will hit up some seafood now I’m back by the ocean.

 

Also sweet stuff. Had some Huckleberry pie in Montana. It’s one of their famous dishes. And they sell these Idaho spud bars (in Idaho obvs) which are non potato chocolate, coconut fondant things



Also lots of great homemade sodas. Had some Marrionberry soda from this place stuck out in the desert in Idaho

I am here in the Redwood forests of Northern California

 

Should be able to get some fish now you are on that Pacific coast.

 

I stayed in a house once in the middle of the redwoods, just can't remember the exact location now.

 

@PISKIE how much longer you got left out there now, just wondering if you are going down that coastline, if you have time that is?

 

I fly back on Sat eve. So I’ve got another night here in Redwood national park. Then heading down the coast to Mendocino area. Then a final night in the Napa valley before driving back to SF

The only bit of this coastline I’ve not done now is the part north from Bookings to Portland. Been as far up as Whistler in Canada and as far south as Barra de Navidad in Mexico

 

Yeah that’s the plan. Scoped out a couple of crab Shacks down the coast a bit. Will hit those up tomorrow

I'm so glad Autumn is here, really am enjoying the cooler weather - at least the summer gone wasn't no where near as bad as last year.
