He needs to sort out immigration, both legal and illegal. The sums involved are eye-watering.

Agreed - and as part of that 'asylum' - but win win is to create a whole lot of new jobs 'asylum processors' to whiz through backlog and be quickly able to process new claims going forward ... failures can then be sent back much quicker

I hope you're right, bud. Trouble is, I don't think there is a politician out there with enough spine to see the job through.

    1. Strikes cost more
    2. Giving people lower down the ladder more money improves the economy. Hoarding money at the top breaks it

What about all the job losses in the NHS? Those unfortunate people will end up on the dole, and the NHS will be chronically understaffed. My little sis, for one, has been warned her job is at risk, yet she is a vital cog in the system.

Fact is, there should be enough money for everyone to get a fair share. Instead, it is wasted. Or thieved.

Which job losses? Do you get your news from links posted by the mouth-breathers on here? They're hiring more people?

I'm having sausages for my tea tonight, once they have been released from captivity in the fridge.

As previously mentioned, my sister's job is at risk, and it's the same for thousands of others in the higher bands. They'll have fourteen weeks to find work in a lower band, otherwise it's the job centre.

I'm not sure how generous NHS redundancy pay is.

Quite a lot of money spent on public sector wages goes back into the system via direct and indirect taxes.

Not much of the money spaffed on failed IT systems, a Tory you’ve never heard of’s mate getting a massive PPE contract for the company he founded yesterday etc. does.

It's no good hitting them with facts, they're stuck defending their failed ideology to the end.

They can't accept that most of us think both parties are a shower of twats. They're just seeing the red ones in all their sleazy reality for the first time.

Not much from a 4.5% increase for rail workers I’d imagine
