I think he'd be a good signing if he's fit and if he can be motivated properly. There's a decent player in there somewhere,we never got to the bottom of him but if someone can I 'think' he's worth a punt.He seemed to spend a lot of time with niggly little injuries(toes)or benched with us(I'm not sure if he was benched through fitness or whether or not he had a spat with Rosenior but he ended up out of favour). There was talk and rumour among our fans that he suffered with mental issues but I'm not sure there was any truth in that or whether it was just malicious gossip that suited the agenda, who knows, not an expert on other people's personal business. Worth a punt for me but I might be in the minority...
When he was with us he did have a toe issue which seemed to cause him a lot of problems. He was also nearly wiped off the face of the earth by a challenge from Angus Gunn which he struggled to recover from. Rumour has it he enjoys a night out on the piss a bit too often. On the pitch he'll score goals, he's not short of skills. If his head's right he could do well. Good luck
If he was still the player he was before the Gunn incident I suspect he'd be still with us, albeit as a backup. He might get back to that, but it's a hopeful punt by Sunderland.
With his head right he's a good player, can score goals and is a proper ****house with it, hassles defenders and gives them no peace, leaves his foot in and gives it plenty of lip. I hope he does all right for you, unless you're playing us of course.
Is anyone on here a member of the England Supporters Travel Club? I'm trying to join, in preparation to get England tickets for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, assuming England qualify, but it seems like the on-line joining process is a right complicated exercise, when it should be straight forward, but it isn't.
Oh dear. Latest manager / club who thinks they can do something with him. It's a shame as he has talent, but it's a gamble not worth taking, as issues, on and off the pitch, just follow him around, and I'm sure always will. Not worth the hassle.
Leeds have announced plans to modernise Elland Road and increase the capacity from 37,645 to 53,000 as they aim to transform it into one of Europe’s leading arenas. It is in line to become England’s seventh-largest club ground.
Was talking to a Leeds fan the other night who has moved over here for work. He was saying the council have given the go ahead. He is in his 20s and on their season ticket waiting list and has been for years and has been informed at the current rate of deaths and people moving and giving up their season tickets he can expect to get one in 6 years. He is quite pleased about this as he will be able to get one at last as will a relative who was told it would take 9 years.
In the comments on this, someone has said there's a special edition shirt coming in. Don't know if this is official or not.
Been strongly rumoured for some time. Some on twitter have said they've been on a committee for the 120th celebrations and a kit has been mentioned
