  3. That Chelsea result seems a million miles away now and a few months earlier after the first winless run a lot of fans at the ground were calling for Bruce's scalp then, me among them after witnessing the displays first hand.

But best not to argue & good times ahead <ok>

I had my doubts about MON. I've always considered him an expensive manager to satisfy - until about 47 minutes ago. BBC Five Live has just said that MON would be happy with the present squad and would not require a lot of money in January. And, next summer of course, we have two class acts we can consider bringing back from loans. Riveros should feel the benefit of a toughening up season in Turkey, and, added to Sess, Vaughan and Larsson, he could well prove an asset. Then there is Gyan. With a midfield aupport like the above and an end to Bruce hoofball, he might fancy a return, and, if Gyan comes back, then Bendtner might very well want to stay. (Which striker doesn't dream about a partner like Gyan?)

MON might not need a lot of cash when you look at it like that. And if he's not going to bankrupt the place then I'm all for him. MON for me, if that's his position.

Can i make a point without sounding against MON but when he left did the caretaker manager not find all this talent at villa (barry bannan and albrighton to name a few) also if we get MON he better not buy in heskey...

On a positive note when bruce came he got some cracking players from wigan (catts and titus they didnt work out but both were very good players) who can we bring in for villa i hope he gets some of the talent who whould want to come back to the manager

  10. For my team maybe but my day to day life at the moment far way out weighs that of my football team. Happy knowing my special one has gone to bed smiling tonight and hope it's the same when she awakes. That's my main concern now but the fact that Martin O'Neil is about to become my teams manager has made me smile too..

Fook me that was quick. I was expecting at least a small caretaker period.

O'Neill is a decent manager. Certainly better than Bruce. However, as others have had, it all depends on whether the clubs spending policy matches his own.

Good. And a good time, we've got about 4 first-team players coming back from injury (including Campbell!), if he puts Noble in it'll be like a whole new squad. He'll knock the cocky ones off their high horses, and we'll finally get a couple of wins on the board!

    Nothing of note at Villa?

They played in Europe, ffs - and threw the games to maintain their position in the league!

As for only winning a couple of league cups (!) with LEICESTER................I'm stunned.

    Sack him
