Just goes to show how much a cheating swine arteta is. His teams antics with raya dropping every few mins combined with their habitual kicking of the ball away and tactical fouling really sum him up. Was a nasty.prick when playing for Everton and hasn't changed
This is why I loved Clemence - his six-yard box was his, and anyone who got in his way getting to the ball got flattened, including teammates. Very rarely remember him ever conceding headers from corners, if at all. Just a beast when it came to corners and set-pieces, and this was in the days when goalies weren't protected.
Saw this stat that is just unbelievable Havertz and Timber completed 0 passes to a teammate today. How can you have two members of a team not be able to pass to their own team for 90+mins?
Funny seeing a team get punished in 97th minute for 90 minutes of ****housery. Bit like Newcastle last year against us. Was sort of refreshing seeing ref tell players who clewrly weren’t injured get up - but why did he then stop play when had already told player to get up at one point. Lost his bottle. I hope the next thing refs look at it keepers going down when catching the ball. Absolutely no need, takes them 6/7 seconds to get back up.. then another 10 seconds walking around. Need to get back to enforcing some sort of rule to speed that up
Should have made arsenal play 120mins given the fake flops by raya. Just got 98mins out of it and captain black still whinged about it. Tell you players not to cheat and kick the ball away then you mysteron wannabe!
Funny thing was 2 mins before city scored they said we’re going to ply to 99 mins, because was a 2 min stoppage right as injury time started. City then scored in the 97th min, yet somehow full time was blown about 30 seconds after the goal despite it taken 2 mins to kick off again due to the fracas. We should have carried on playing till at least 101st min
From Sky - wants to win trophies. Makes sense, already won some and wants to continue. Would hope like gerrard he feels winning a few things at lfc means more than winning a few more elsewhere. Could also be a comment along with vvds that owners need to keep investing to strengthen the squad to compete. Hopefully if we’re in the hunt then he’ll be happy to stay "I have always said I want to captain the club. That is a goal of mine, whether that happens is out of my hands," said Alexander-Arnold. "I want to be a Liverpool player this season [as a minimum] is what I will say." The most important thing is always trophies. I want to win trophies. "We were close to the title last season and we got a cup. The [quadruple] was on for a while I suppose. This season we are looking really good, it is still early days, but we need a lot of consistency. It will be difficult but we are looking to win as many trophies as we can
Another person who will realise that when it's all said and done and his career is over he can be a legend or just another real Madrid merc picking up easy medals in la liga. Or in other words a fool who went about telling city that this means more and got laughed and so decides to go running join the mercs. Well done.
Massive amount of arsenal ball kicking going on on sky and on BBC Just about the only dissenting voice is Keane. Shearer calling them a force when in reality they have another man sent off stupidly and missed a glorious chance to beat city Did he call us a force for having to defend against spurs after ludicrous 2 reds what were hooper supporting spurs as per? Nope. In the end arsenal tried to **** house it out without any thought to catching city on thr break at any time. Their diving and time wasting nearly worked but actually didn't in the end
Please not the Caribou Cup again. LFC are better than that. Maybe Arsenal should concentrate on that to end their trophy drought. I feel City and Arsenal will beat each other up over the season, via the media as much as anything else. enabling Liverpool to concentrate on the PL
I'd give that a like but I can't stand him. He refused to take part in the guard of honour when we won the league. Whatever you think about there being a need for a guard of honour, if there is one, you should respect it and join in even if you do so begrudgingly.
Familiarity breeds contempt. We have been really lucky/spoiled or whatever you might say to win things so a league cup wont excite but it's still a cup. The Arsenal team/fans seem only to be interested in league and champions league and anything else is failure. A lot of big teams seem to do this. Like tin hat as two cups. Not many managers in England have 2 cups to their name currently. Actually the total number of managers in the prem today with an English trophy to their game is 3. Arteta years ago after beating fat Frank Tin hat Guardiola Nobody else has won a thing
