Yeah. Agree. He won't come here, or at least won't last long if his attitude is wrong. He will score goals though, so assuming all is well then it's a no-risk signing.
Copley should be ashamed to call himself a journalist by the way. Not the biggest fan of the signing to be honest. Hopefully his attitude has changed from what I last heard. If he scores goals though that won't be a problem.
I imagine it’s a short term deal; maybe just this season. RLB is trained in sports psychology so might be able to control him. It’s a good squad as well so I personally don’t envisage problems.
The echo lads aren't journalists any more, not in the true sense of the word. It's more about social media presence these days, getting plenty of clicks and not upsetting the club. They get zero intel
Team mate of Alan Browne for the Republic of Ireland , I am sure he will have been asked his opinion by KLD and Speakman as well as Reggie .
I’d give him a one year deal and tell him if he’s fit and applying himself in training he can get an extra 2 added on in January. See how much he wants to be a pro footballer. Seems a very similar signing to Patrick Roberts in the “very talented but lost his way” bracket.
Wouldn't surprise me if he's been in on a trial and that's where the rumour last week came from. Club then deny it to keep it quiet so other clubs don't make an offer.
Couple of things: 1. Why sign him now and not in the summer? Unless we had other irons in the fire OR the injury do Abdullahi has changed things 2. Is there any rush to get him in the team? If he takes a couple of months to get up to speed, then can be effective in the 2nd half of these season, it's a sensible signing.
I think we definitely missed out on someone on deadline day, AND they probably didn’t think Abullahi would need surgery. So makes sense that he was free. I’d wonder why it’s happening now not three weeks ago tho
