One of the reasons they're in the bottom 5 is because,Plymouth aside, they played us and lost. Means nothing...Cardiff and Sheff Wed weren't in the bottom 5 when we played them and I don't think Portsmouth were either. Looking forward to Watford...don't fear anyone in this league at the minute.
Nailed on that whoever wrote **** Safc is some ****er who scrawls his name all over bins and lampposts in his home town.
Give them a break...They had a couple of hours of fresh air and seemingly it had an adverse effect on them. They are back in their acid rain smog ridden town now... all is well
Injury trio boost . Poveda might make Watford ? Browne and Samed not far away from training. Looks like no knocks from the Boro game. ? Régis Le Bris expecting further Sunderland injury boost ahead of Watford trip (sunderlandecho.com)
certainly none of their back 4 as they are awful. not arsed about their keeper either. thought morris was good for them yesterday and hackney is a canny player but neither are better than we have. wingers who started on Saturday aren’t as good as ours although Doak is clearly a player I like Conway and lath but we didn’t give them a sniff yesterday. They aren’t a bad side but overplay it and we just nullified them yesterday. overall probs about 5 who would get in our squad and compete to play
Except Boro, all the teams we beat were previously unbeaten. Sheff Wed were flying, Boro claim it's 'their season' and Burnley are expected to go straight back up. We've had three massive journeys and an international break with various players going away with their countries. West Brom, above us, have played QPR, Plymouth and Portsmouth ... all bottom half and expected to stay there. Winning five games, and losing the other narrowly, is a phenomenal achievement ... ... especially after the previous season and another change of manager.
Just so I don't get all confused again can I just ask ... ... was Saturday a reality check or is it only real if we lose And, while I'm on, can we guess when we'll see the first 'Watford will be a tricky game'.
A reality check that there’s **** all to fear in this league, a lot of people (me included) thought boro were this super team they aren’t, we won’t win every week and won’t play the champagne football Mowbray brought but I think we’ll win more often than not, good depth which should help when the 3 games a week part of the season starts think we’re going to give it a right go this year and still so many lads to come in too, is it Saturday yet?
I've already seen a number of comments about Watford being "a test" Evry game is a bloody test, you either pass or you fail, ok a grey area around a draw but hopefully you get what I'm saying. There are no givens in this league you have to go out and prove your worth evry game, however if you prepare and apply yourself correctly there's absolutely no reason why we cant continue to pick up decent results.
Exactly, Burnley played Portsmouth who haven't won a game and look doomed ... ... they were behind for a long time and only scrambled a winner in the last minute. This will be a tricky game for Watford, I doubt they'll be too confident.
Having seen the highlights of Watfords defending against Norwich, I think they may be testing our goal scoring capabilities
