    Thinking about rewatching LOST

My memory isn’t great from watching it first time around but I know I enjoyed it back then

Just be careful. You don’t want to ruin your memories. I thought that I’d rewatch Life On Mars a few months back. Couldn’t even get past the first episode.

I ****ing hate it when that happens.

There was this BBC mini-series about Merlin that came out in the 90s. Sam Neil played the lead role and as a kid it was just the best thing I'd ever seen.

Tried to watch it again within the last year or two and it was just dogshit.

As much as I loved the show when it was first broadcast and we all laughed at Genes one liners and put downs, don’t think I could ever call a corrupt cop, fictional or otherwise, a hero for obvious reasons like!

I know it’s not real. I know he is a character. Being a cop myself I could never call a corrupt one, real or not a hero.

Just finished watching Merseyside Detectives: The Murders Of Ashley And Olivia. A documentary that follows the investigation into the murders of Ashley Dale and 9-year-old Olivia Pratt-Korbel who were both innocent victims of the Liverpool gang culture and killed within a week of each other.
Well done Merseyside Police on a very professional investigation, but it shows the fear these criminals instil and the power they have over the community. It was heart breaking, especially for 9 year old Olivia and her family.

4 part series on Channel 4 Catch Up if anyone is interested

Funny enough I recently started watching lost again on Disney.
Loved it first time around and enjoying it now. A long time but I remember all the characters and I'm reminded of the plots along the way. I'm on about ep 24 series 1. I like Sawyer's character and I'd lick Kate to death <laugh>

I love its "way out there" storyline.
Like the walking dead. Enjoyed that too.

I've also bought the boxed sets of life on mars for up the caravan. It's tongue in cheek and a homage to the likes of the Sweeney.
Enjoyed it first time round. Watched a couple episodes the other night but I was a bit pissed and started dropping off <laugh> Gene Hunt is hilarious <laugh>
It does capture a 70's vibe.

Edit, never really got on with ashes to ashes the spin off.

Breaking bad is a series a watched recently. It never appealed but I gave it a go since everyone raved about it.
I did enjoy it and started watching better call Saul but the daughter hasn't renewed her account so only got so far through <laugh>

Been enjoying Bad Monkey on Apple. Good story, interesting characters and generally a fun watch. I like the focus on ecological issues which is always part of Carl Hiaasen's books. Not as much of a comedy as the trailer suggests.

I know a few on here were either NUM or had family who were.

I'd like to hear what they think of the documentary. It's powerful stuff for me who had minimal knowledge. Does it go in powerful enough for those who had knowledge?

It will be great at opening the eyes for people like me! But if you know about it are you thinking na plenty missed out there!

I'll have to have a look.

I must admit its something I've never looked into too much! I was born 1985 and my family weren't from that industry so never talked about!

I have only seen this fictional with the strikes in them so didn't really think about it with the government and policing and the way they treat ordinary working class people all because they wanted to protect their futures!
