More accurately, we haven’t , in your opinion, evolved tactically in the last season and the 5 games of this season. The first of your 2 years is the season we finished 4th. And if you are basing it on a deterioration from Milan then that was in mid December 2023, so 10 months or so.

Secondly, if the Club don’t buy a better goalkeeper than Pope then who should EH put in goal? He’s the best we have.

Thirdly, who said we ‘messed up’ the Emery appointment? He didn’t want to come but as far as I’m aware it’s never been said why. I stand to be corrected on that point.

I don’t have an issue with constructive criticism but bland unfounded statements, I do take issue with.

I went 4 but that was including Fulham... I suspect everyone is looking at Everton away as 3 points, but I'd gone with a draw.

Everton took this side to the cleaners last season at Goodison.

Howe will be gone before the Jan Transfer window. I think Howe is struggling now with the team. We have no intensity in the press anymore. Teams have sussed if they put someone between the defence and midfield ( like a Foden in the next match) then the team can't cope. We have no identity now and I think Howe doesnt know what to do.

We've reached the point where he's frantically making changes trying to find a magical recipe.

It's not all his fault though I mean the club has gone so stale and cold it's unbelievable.. it feels like the Ashley reign again.

Nope, we have played the same way for over two years. You’re mistaking the fact it worked early on with the fact it’s been demonstrably crap for a year or so.

I said repeatedly we should have bought better than Pope. Liverpool paid £30m for mamardashvili who they had to loan to Valencia, we could’ve - assuming we’re actually ****ing ambitious - made him our number 1.

And the club ****ed up the Emery appointment by going early with the announcement.

I think Howes time is coming to an end, however if/when he goes who would we likely go after? Tuchel?

Not sure what is going on but everything from the top down looks like it's having a bit of a wobble at the club. There's loads wrong at the club at present but I'm not blaming Howe for the majority of it.
    • Staveley and Ghoudossi going clearly affected the harmony and morale at the board room level
    • Mitchell coming in and ruffling Howe's and Nickson feathers and other backroom staff have been rubbed up the wrong way.
    • Players look disinterested, Bruno linked away may have got to his head, certainly with Gordon it has, Trippier not wanting to be here Isak is clearly not fit.
    • Transfer window won't have helped the players morale - you want to see a marquee signing alongside the others this summer, Hall Kelly, Osula etc are fine but you need a statement signing to keep people believing you are progressing.
Just looking at the game in isolation from Saturday it's loads of individual errors - just to pick out two - Pope for their second, and Schar missing an open goal when 2v1 with Isak v the keeper. Both those moments change the game incomprehensibly.

My biggest concern however is AG - not sure what is wrong with him but he needs dropping until he get's his head sorted - his attitude is just so far off acceptable at present I'd rather have Miggy or Murphy in his place. He's stopped doing everything good he did last year and now looks like the player Everton agreed to sell - disinterested, lacking effort and unhappy.
