Fundamental difference: when Mossad (or whoever) deliberately put chemicals in pagers that they knew were bound for Hezbollah operatives, they were making a precision strike against terrorists. That considerably reduces the collateral damage. The terrorists, on the other hand, just try to kill anyone that they can, whether they be the targets or anyone that just happened to be in the vicinity. The rag heads mostly seem to be opposed to anyone that is not a brain dead follower of their barbaric medieval cult. Strangely, the statistics seem to back the argument (as made by Israel) that targeting known terrorists significantly cuts ‘collateral damage’ even when the terrorists are using their future terrorist converts as human shields. It would seem to make logical sense that killing the children now would end the problem with terrorists more quickly as there would be no-one left to recruit. Perhaps David Lammy should suggest that to them...

No, but I do not believe the fabricated casualty statistics coming from Hamas that the likes of the BBC and others run as if they were independently verified facts.
Hamas are responsible for most, if not all of the Palestinian deaths. That region has a very long history of using civilians as shields. Collateral damage is just a sad fact of war. Every military expert that has reviewed Israeli tactics has concluded that they are going above and beyond what is needed to minimise them.
I personally don't care how many Jews or Palestinians die killing each other , my point was that blowing people up with pagers is terrorism if muslims or Jews do it .
It's a directed attack against a designated terrorist group. The only people that had those devices were terrorists. If there were children caught in the blast, that too is down to the terrorist not taking care of their family or friends. It's interesting that the Iranian politician had one.
