Two decent chances in the second half for Diaz and Archer who both should have done better. A couple of situations where the final ball needed to be better too Not saying we were brilliant or anything but we were comfortably second best in the first half and that wasn't true id the second where we seemed to have more control of the game til the final ten minutes. Draw probably the right result on balance of play.
He wasn't bad today (in fact one of his better games so far), and he can hold it up/be a nuisance, but I don't really see what he does other than makes a nuisance of himself.
If Ramsdale saves a one on one, like Macca did at Everton midweek, we say great save. When we have a one on one and it’s saved, it’s also a good save. Archer was at full stretch but did really well to get into the position to get a toe to the ball, despite having a defender on his back.
It was a good save. I honestly thought Archer looked good today. Ten times the player Stewart and Armstrong are on that evidence. Just needs that first goal and we have a good player there.
I'm not judging any striker who plays in this system. Absolute zero service. Archer can't do the hold up play, but he will be decent if you play through balls into him. Stewart is better at the hold up play. But he has just come back from 18 months of injury. Bound to be rusty. BBD is a maverick; I like him. But needs to play as a striker. Should have kept Lallana on. Our best player today.
So for me we blew that with those wasted Archer and Diaz chances, you are always at risk of conceding a freak goal like that. Huge blow and even more of a shame because I thought we generally played pretty well, Fernandes and Dibling especially look very at home in the PL. Not sure about the last two subs, although I don’t really want Dibling to get worn out we dropped back when Armstrong and Aribo came on and that led to the equaliser.
Well played lads but we obviously have the hex over you right now. On the balance of play and chances a draw is a fair result in my opinion. I’m just delighted that we still have this never give up spirit in the team.
Yeah think a draw was fair too. One of those weird games where we won the first half 1-0 despite you being the better side and you won the second half 1-0 despite us being the better side. Ultimately though if looked like a game between two championship sides and think we'll both go down.

I still don’t understand the logic of Russball. Faffing about in our own half, never hitting teams on the break. We never put crosses into the box. How will we ever score playing like this? Sad truth is we are relying on an 18yo to make something special happen from nothing. I am now convinced we need to change manager and get someone sensible in that cab organise the defence and make us hard to beat. We will never stay up playing this style
We lost a lot when Lallana came off, IMO. Which is frustrating, given we know he can’t do 90 mins regularly
