Tbf the negotiations over the Russian land grab of Crimea didn't go at all well. Seems that some folk see land grabs in Eastern Europe to be fine but in the middle East, not so much.

As wee Gary Oldman once said, you cannot negotiate with a tiger when your head is in it's mouth.

Back in the day, all of the Soviet Union was called Russia to the rest of the world, in the same way most people referred to the UK as just England.

Can't think of anyone who thinks land grabs in Eastern Europe are ok but the Middle East isn't. Ironically the West think the exact opposite because its the West doing it
