They really are doing a fantastic job of bringing the city up to standard.

Does anyone know if work has started on the Crown Works site yet?

Doesn't open until August next year though? Did I read that right? Presumably there is infrastructure and cosmetic work to be done...

I guess there’s a whole load of strengthening graft goes on underneath once it’s up.

Yeah they’re on track for August ‘26. Leaves plenty of time for the council to get the remaining buildjngs on the sheepfolds demolished and tidied - should be class start of next season.

They really need to turn their attention to the walk from the road bridge up Bridge Street and round the back of the Deaf Club.

    That alleyway is shocking ...

... people coming from the Metro or town, and walking towards the Wheatsheaf and SOL must be appalled.

We're used to it, so don't really notice, but people coming for concerts must be surprised.

Avoiding the back alley means pushing past people waiting for buses or getting off them. I've noticed a lot of branch buses drop off and collect from there. Surely there's a better place to do that.

And they should also stop traffic, on the bridge over the railway, from the Wheatsheaf to the Stokoe statue.

Why do people battle through the crowds after a game to get to the stadium <doh>

We always like the walk up that back alley. When we come out of the fans museum and get round that first corner where the demi club was we usually have a guess at what delights we will see. Think I guessed correctly once last season at 2 tyres and an overturned wheelie bin. <laugh>
