Only in your world Sucky ... The vast majority of footie fans know that spending the most money brings the most success... Real Madrid in Spain, Bayern in Germany, PSG in France ..Citeh now in England, previously Chelsea, before them United, before United, Liverpool ... simple maths fella ... You need to stop crying about it and just accept it ...
I'm a regular for the sausage and mash and peas there. Absolutely minging, deffo powdered mash, and usually rock hard peas, and clumps of conjealed gravy .
Well apart from the evidence ... of course https://x.com/TSJSports/status/1609942374259507201?lang=en
Don't do X ... but Google 'English football biggesspenders' and you'll find plenty similar from myriad sources ... just liked the graphic on that one ...
Spending power happens for different reasons though, you have City, Chelsea dodgy reasons, Leicester reasons after you won the league it gave you a boost but it didn't go well, then you have spending power that myself and Chief are taking about where the clubs built a brand over time through success and the ability to generate income through being in large cities and having a larger fan base. At some point money became a huge factor and those clubs were in a great position to take advantage of the new income.
You're missing the real point - there were no financial constraints on you and United in your pomp, hence 'building a dynasty' was pretty much a given with no real limits on your spending to undermine your dominance - the wealth of your owners enabled that ... The FFP / PSR rules are aimed at shackling the spending of some of the wealthiest club owners on the planet ... and serve to obstruct 'new dynasties' arising ... now is that 'fair play' or restraint of trade?
We did nothing wrong though and haven't bought success like you constantly suggest, we built a club and from my knowledge we haven't broken any financial rules and we've had periods outside of the top 4 but with a lot of hard work and despite all the goings on at City, Chelsea and Real Madrid etc dem plucky scousers have dug in and continued to win trophies, it's a true story of success against adversity you must find it incredible to watch as an outsider, I'm sure there will be a Hollywood film at some point with George Clooney playing Klopp.
If Citeh and Chelsea were doing what they have done back in the 80s and 90s they'd have done nothing wrong either ... and that's the real point for me and just about every other fan in the country who does not support one of the Sky 4 (6) ... Citeh and Chelsea have simply displaced you and United in spending power terms ... they have not somehow manufactured a previously unknown advantage ON THE PITCH ... Fans as old as me have spent a lifetime having our best players poached at will by clubs with bottomless pockets - the biggest of those have dominated the domestic game ... doesn't stop us turning up week in, week out, hoping for a good season and a cup run - but what doesn't bother us that much is which of the big boys spends the most / wins the title .. ... it amounts, fundamentally, to the same premise 'the higher the investment, the more likely the success' ...
I've now got 3 minutes left in work - was half an hour when I started my previous reply ... ... and it's way too hot to do work!
