I've been reading a few comments on JET, a mix of good and bad, the good is he can be a target man who brings the ball down before playing it on, who does that remind you of!...so that's Cody sorted then The next is sometimes he only puts in 50% performance, I'll leave that to alwaysright to comment on that one, although he may tell you that is brilliant 50% - because a certain other player many a season a go rarely put in 1% hahahaha.
brb If you had been at Southend today - you would have seen ( in the 2nd half ), a great, all team performance. When we moved the ball forward, it was done quickly - to feet - with players moving off, into positions in which to receive another quick pass ( thus progressing the attack ). It was very pleasing to watch - and reaped justified rewards. This 'system' did not really play to the strengths of Cody -- that only really ever happened with Akinfenwa. I am sure that McDonald would have a 'monopoly' of goals if we played the same style ( if we had the players ) - - but -- the style in today's 2nd half, lends itself to having the goals shared around by several different players -- I don't see that as a bad thing -- I don't care what system we play if we score at least one more than the opposition -or at least, with the same 'effort' as was shown in the 2nd half.
In the season we played Bristol City about 20 times in their promotion year, each time they had two stand out players. Kiran Agard the striker and JET either up front or on the wing. Even if he gets played out wide as a front 3 with Knott on the left, he can prove to be very dangerous. A goal and an assist in his first game shows this could be a massive signing for us this season. COYG!
Now we know why he was only 50% of a player https://www.skysports.com/football/...forward-charged-over-gbp600-000-drugs-seizure
