Due to unforeseen circumstances our esteemed leader has no internet so he’s asked me to put out a feeler for someone to put together a morning debate. I’d have a go but might be a bit miserable
We’ll just use this thread mate and all chip in. I’ll start: Leeds weighing up future replacements for Farke if things do not improve, they’re eyeing up Corberan who has a £2m release fee. Did he really say he wasn’t interested, if so was it a timing thing, we’d just come down and it was chaos with the loan sharks. Now the water is clearer would he be interested
Morning all. That’s the main flaw in the Farke out argument. We’ve no idea who’d be interested or even who the us crew would try get. Given their lack of knowledge of the game I wouldn’t have much faith. Like Wakey I don’t believe they’ll be around for the long haul. Couple more transfer windows like the last and they’ll have recouped all their money so whatever they sell for will be complete profit. Everyone will be left happy except as usual the fans
I tried Eire, but after ChatGPT told me that our next game was going to be against Rotherham, on 23 September 2024, I felt it was probably not a wise idea to get them to produce an up to date summary. This was ChatGPT's 4th attempt at getting our next fixture correct, and about the best I can say, is that in one of those 4 attempts, it managed to get the day "Saturday" correct once, despite getting our opponents, date of fixture and kick off time, incorrect every time. The "best" was when it told me that out next game will kick off Monday 25 September 2023 at 14:00 against Watford. So I hope everyone has booked the time off for when they get in their time machine and travel back 360+ days to watch the game. PS If I end up not posting any more articles on the forum, then its probably because the AI has executed me after receiving all my mocking responses
Thanks guys - internet back up now!!! Are we making do with Farke because of what he has done in the past at Norwich, and how much of an influence was he? Many say it was the Buendia and Cantwell show; in the same way Summerville bailed us out last season! The obvious replacement would have to be Corberan but is he any better than Farke? Unless we can get a Potter or Brendan Rodgers, do we make do?
It's Scotland. Apart from very obviously Leeds talent, the only other good thing to come from North of the Border is WJ!
Lose at carduff and this manager quandary may have a bit more traction.... bottom of the league v perennial form breakers
And the other problem with getting from Scotland,is the country has a no return policy,we've tried to send WJ back many a time but they always refuse.
Wont matter. They're 75m to the good in the bank. 60k at every home game. Id say they're exactly the level wed love to be at
I’m not sure there was an official approach for him to turn down. There was heavy speculation that we would make an offer to him and he signed a contract extension. Can’t see it happening, £2 million plus what it will cost to pay off Farke’s contract. Other than grumbling fans has there been any reports that the board are considering sacking him?
How true is this from one who knows. Football is dying and is for the most part a borefest. It’s no longer the game us oldies grew up with but a showpiece for daft hairdos and tattoos, few can even kick a ball
For whatever reason this post was stopped because of a bad gateway just after Eire started the ball rolling first thing. Anyway having taken time to write this I thought I’d post it, 10 hrs later. Not convinced the 49’s want to get out so quickly. I agree they’ll want a return on their investment, but think their goal would be to let us go only when we’re a Premier League team. Yes they might get pissed off if it takes a longer time than the next few years and jump early. As to the manager, Farke wasn’t my ideal choice. I’m not a great fan of his football style. However barring the last half dozen games of the normal season and the playoff final thought he did ok. Was it a player thing or manager thing we messed up on autos. Doubt Coberan would come, now, if we approached them. They’re top of the league, a hard side to beat and they are used to the playing formations he uses. We have promise, perhaps, but no one really knows how we’re gonna go this season (hopefully very very well).
The great man is right again of course. Watching the champions league this week, the “elite competition” according to the pundits. The Arsenal game is a borefest as was the Man City game yesterday. Villa are crowing about a win against a team that would struggle to beat any of the three premier league teams promoted this season. Now got the half time pundits talking up “defensive shapes” to make it sound like a better game than the crap my eyes are telling me I’m watching!!
