Yeah mental price considering everything really.

I would have draw down as favourite then not much between an Ipswich and Saints win, but 2/1 seems generous

Can actually get 9/4 on Ipswich if you want

Which feels way too short. These markets get influenced a lot by where the money is going and I’d imagine more people are backing Saints bringing the price in. Proper 6 pointer at home etc etc

    We know better of course

However, you never meet a poor bookie.

Yeah but that’s not really to do with pricing and more the hedging. Unless the bookie is dumb as ****

Yeah I think draw is the most likely outcome too.

TBH a scrappy 1-0 win would do for me.

Just 3 points please. Don't really care how they come about but for Russ' sake we really need them.

I still think this is going to be 0-0 or 1-1

My first game of the season.
Hopefully 5th time lucky for saints.

Need to end at least with a point but what a big difference a win would make.

It was about a year ago we started our amazing unbeaten run. Not expecting the same, just a team to be proud of.

The infamous run started with an all guns blazing win at Leeds, on the front foot from the start and caught them on the hop.
We need something similar, pace in the side like we had with Sulemana in that match and go at them, because they’ll expect to just keep us at arms length, get the crowd nervous and wait for one of our defensive blips.

Hanging on for 10, 20, 30mins? Absolute nightmare. No confidence we could do that anyway, if we’re going to get a result, we’ll need a 2 goal cushion at least. 2 goals! Just read that! <laugh>

This already looked big when fixtures were released but with 4 losses from 4, and no Ipswich win either, this really is huge for both sides.

I think after 5 games the team picks itself, with only a a couple of spots up for debate.

    Ramsdale
    Sugawara THB Bednarek KWP
    Lallana* Downes
    Dibling Fernandes Fraser*
    Archer*

*these 3 aren't cetainties but with Lallana coming off at half time I'd say it is likely. Cornet in for fraser when he is up to speed.

Think THB had the armband against Everton so would assume he would again here
