**** it and **** Coventry, we should have had at least 2 more league wins this season so I’ll take an underserved one.

 

Ben Wilson's not even their regular starter and he hasn't been for most of the four years he's been there.
Makes you wonder why, as he had very little to do and still made a few outstanding saves.

I guess that at the end of the day we are through but that was so so bad.
Fair play to Coventry, they were excellent. They defending superbly and caused us all sorts of problems going forward. They should really have been out of sight so that a comeback wasn’t even possible. But I guess we have had a load of bad luck this season so it’s about time we had some ourselves.
Nothing other than 3 points will do on Saturday. We need to get some momentum in the league

 

In isolation I’d always say the most important thing in cup football is to win, doesn’t matter how you play. If you ****house a few games you end up with a trophy.

In the context of the season so far though, we needed a good performance and result tonight to restart the season a bit and get us back on track. We progress to the next round but the performance was listless for the most part.

 

Then you may wish to see what odds are being offered for Ange being gone by december.

71% possession....and most of that was in our own half. Possession stats are pointless for the most part. As are passing stats. I reckon Bentancur will come out smelling of roses on paper, but all he did was slow our play down and pass sideways and backwards ....until the 91st minute!

 

Have to wonder if Foster sped up the No2 keeper search considerably tonight

It was implied by (IIRC) Alasdair Gold that it would be on the backburner until next summer after we put out feelers in the summer and got nothing, but you have to feel that not only has he played his last game for us outside of extenuating and/or bloody predictable circumstances and we may bring that forward to January while also cutting bait on Austin & Whiteman too - though that was pretty obvious in pre-season when Luca Gunter was picked ahead of them

 

It will improve his immunity. You need to be exposed to germs to combat them.
