Have you heard about people experiencing time slip around Bold St ?
It was mentioned recently on an American YouTube channel where they tell the story then try and explain it .The time normally involves going back to 40's/50's..
I can say with hand on heart I have experienced it when I was walking between Renshaw st and Bold st ( Heathfield). It was when they where doing quite a bit of construction and they had hoardings up which finished at the bridge. There was a bit of a gap and when I looked down I saw a four laned road with old 40/50's style cars going up and down.I told my wife and she looked but saw nothing. It was only when I looked into it that I found out about this phenomenon.I just wondered if anybody else has experienced it?

I remember once sitting at my desk at work having a migraine and thinking to myself, I need to get something for this. Next thing I know, with no recollection of how I got there, I was at the chemist. I don't remember leaving my desk, I don't remember driving a mile down the road.

Now, (everyone on here will predictively disagree) I'm not nuts, but I had a moment where my brain didn't experience the reality of what was happening. It skipped 5 mins of time. I was a little freaked out at the time, but I know I'm not nuts.

I don't believe in "time slips" or time portals back to previous decades, but I do believe our brains can forget brief moments in time (as has happened with me) and I believe that our brains can fill in those gaps with memories that didn't necessarily happen.

Not saying people who experience time slips are nuts, but I suspect if a phenomenon is known about , such as apparently Bold Street (didn't know about this before now). If you brain "skips a beat" and forgets a second or two, I think it's probably possible that influence from other stories from the region could influence how your brain fills in the gap.

I think this is what happens when people "see the light" in a near death experience. (People always experience things that match what their own culture and religion believes). Not saying you had a NDE, just that same process at play...

That's my explanation, right or wrong.

    I am nuts
    But
The amount of time I arrive somewhere without any recollection of how I got there is ridiculous

I usually can remember setting off but after that nothing till I remember that I have forgotten

not the same as yours oddball but would believe anything is possible (within reason - nothing crazy like us winning the league this year or City being docked points)

Alpha state. Generally when you’re going somewhere you go frequently (so commuting to and from work) you do it so often that brain switches off a bit and suddenly you’re 10 miles down the road and don’t even really remember driving

When it happened to me, I didn't even remember getting into the car, starting the engine, etc... and it was going somewhere I don't normally go. I think in my case, my preoccupation with the pain caused me to zone out of what I was actually doing.
