TBF I got kneed in the thigh once going up for a cross, my leg was black for about 2 weeks and I couldn't dive on it or do much tbh! So if it's something like that I feel his pain

 

This happens a lot nowadays, not just in football. A story will say "X is rumoured to be doing Y" and people's brains when reading it just filter out the "rumoured" part and take it to be saying as fact that X IS doing Y, when the story isn't even claiming to be anything more than passing on a rumour. Media literacy isn't good and it's a big problem.
