Completely agree with you on this.
What seems to get missed here, it's not really UEFA or thr FA that make you play all these games, it's your club, so take it up with the owners, it's the coaching team the club employs that decide if you play or not. This isn't the old days of eleven players numbered just 1-11, with one sub sitting on the bench. If you are not happy because you are playing too many games for your team, go find another club that aint in competitions and take a big pay cut to do so.
Yup that's another solution, then it's down to the employers (the club) to ensure they have a big enough team to compete in all competitions.
If they don't want to play they can get a 9 till 5 and do that for 35 years instead.
