Of course,I think most of these young players understand they'll be rested from time to time. In a sound squad...which I think we have...it won't be a problem for them.
Can't understand why we let Nectar go! Anderson hasn't challenged for a position, and an injury,or suspension to either O9 or Mepham, and we look vulnerable at centre back.
Trying to work out patterson’s error on the first goal? It was a worldie save onto the bar. Had it not gone in we’d be lauding it. 3rd goal absolutely, he should’ve chucked his cap on it! But the 1st I can’t see what he’s done wrong in the 0.16 seconds from the lad hitting the ball at him!
Kicked it straight to their player in the build up to the goal didn't he? Or was that for the 2nd goal
Patto was brilliant and **** in equal measure. He had way too many to go at for my liking and that’s not his fault. If you made a short video of his saves without the howlers he’d look world class. Unfortunately it’s also vice versa. Keepers occasionally have **** games. It’s as sure as eggs. Having constant saves to make isn’t quite as certain.
I've not watched it back but I thought a couple of them were 'bad goals'. We didn't get away with much this week.
Not sure if already mentioned but RLB confirmed that Poveda had a slight knock, that’s why he wasn’t in the squad at the weekend
Watched the 90 mins last night, it was a scrappy game, from start to finish and understandably they were more up for a scrap than we were. I thought at the beginning of the season I would measure our progress against the Boro. For them to get promoted and us miss out would be a set back for SAFC imo. Finish above them in May would be a yardstick of our progress. and our status in the NE. If we win on Saturday we will have a 7 point gap if we loose it will be 1 point , no such thing as a 6 pointer Ive been told , no pressure then.
Of course there are 'six-pointers' unless you're speaking mathematically ... ... hopefully we gain three points and Boro lose the possibility of three. The same three points but not the same
Not seen full game but is it a case we were bullied that second half bit like the bad old days in League One.? Two or three having off days doesn't help either but that's football.
Nah, we just weren't on it - full backs were poor, there was no press from the midfield and no protection for the back 4. Their wingers were good and a couple of individual errors cost us. Having said all that we were a couple of mins away from getting a point.
We didn't turn up, it's a simple as that, first time it's happened this season but it won't be the last.
Ballard injury mightn't be as bad as feared. Boro game maybe but ok for Watford. Radio link on this page.. Ballard Injured | Page 16 | RTG Sunderland Message Boards (readytogo.net)
