should have taken his bike I imagine our Pinkie is pretty fit to do all the riding he does, but yeah you would know more about this stuff than me Gessa, I wouldn't be able to carry enough water to get me through it lol, that's in between the gasps for air as I sup and the vultures hovering above looking down on me, waiting...
Ah I see, hmmm... Well it did seem odd to me, but I don't know much about this shhite, unlike Gessa whose life is devoted to hiking in all extremes. Gessa is like the forums action man, where Fosse would just say I'm the forums barbie. Mind you, I'd just stop for the burgers as well, and tell the hikers to meet up with me later at the bar.
Had a good challenge booked for next week, unfortunately brother in law had to have an emergency operation 6 weeks ago, so he's not fit to go, we've rearranged for last Saturday in March next year. Scotland has 9 mountains over 4000ft, we'd planned to do the 9 in 6 days.
I'm with you Babs... proper burgers out there ... They shoot Vegans don't they? ... or is it horses? ... ... hope it's Vegans...
It's one of the things I hate about some of the American states, it just seems a diet of burgers all the time, don't think I've ever come across a decent salad out there. Although I did go to a Vegan restaurant in Key West one time, it was 'ok' is the best review I can give it but certainly different and even the Wines were vegan. Think I had some mushroom burger. Yet you can look across Europe and countries like Spain, Italy, Greece they all grow decent crops in the same temps as some parts of America, although American supermarkets do have decent fruit and veg, you just don't see it very often when eating out, and if you do it often feels like an after thought. Just had some black tomatoes in a sandwich, lovely, bit expensive for what they are, but very nice.
I saw amy Winehouse in a club called subterraneaniain down I grove a few years before she was famous, jay z also got his chain snatched that night outside.
I was talking to a bloke earlier in the year who's dad owns the Jazz After Dark club in Soho, he said she played there quite a few times. Do you know the place?
Yeah we didn’t climb 8000ft, we got a shuttle from the valley floor up to 6000ft to a place called Galcier point, then hiked up around 2000ft and then elevation of 8000ft back down to the valley floor
