Never really ‘got’ live music in general. Did Reading when I was a yoof and a few gigs but that was more about the drink, trying and mostly failing with birds and occasionally drugs at the time. Just feels a lot of hassle to drop three figures to be 50 yards from a bloke on a stage but I guess that’s how some people would describe football.
Really enjoyed last gig I went to, Nothing But Theives at Cardiff Castle early summer - tickets weren't that expensive (compared to a night out in London bars) and the band were great as was one of the suppot bands (The Snuts) ... ... but have gotten rather picky about who I pay money to see - Imagine Dragons next year would likely be my next - if I do...
When at Uni I would watch loads at the Leadmill and up the hill at the octagon. loads of bands for £15-20, £100 each on tickets seems a bit much. But she wants IoW tickets for next year now.
Don't think anybody is going to beat this ... I saw a fledgling Irish Band at the Nene College (Northampton) Students Union early 1980s ... admission / tickets were £2... U2 ...
It was ****ing hard work mate. My brother is a marathon runner and keen hiker, he’s oft in Switzerland hiking mountains. So he set the pace and the mileage. My calves are still ****ing killing me lol
Crossed the state line into Nevada today. Just had a ****in beauty of a burger here at Middlegate Station. This place is part of the old Pony route through the desert
I did think you would struggle after a day of that, but at least you done it mate and have the memories.
