Anyway I feel I've taken my beatings in good spirit.... I will expect the same when I rise up from the ashes.
I've seen this often.... it's not his fault he's being picked though. I don't think any of them deserve a 7.. maybe Pope.
I acknowledge that we had some good seasons under Pardew, but that wasn't the reason why fans gave him stick. Main reasons for many were: 1. He was Ashley's 'yes man' mouthpiece. 2. His stupid antics (headbutt incident, pitchside jig, alleged affairs, etc.) making him an embarassment. 3. The infamous 'line' that he never quite managed to get over. Under Bruce it was just horrible football. Plus he had a whole list of **** excuses (never about him or mistakes) and even the players have said he was lazy and they didn't train anywhere enough and to match other team's fitness levels or tactics. Yes he finished mid table.once. but he is just a crap money-grabber, living off his Man United player reputation.
I know but I actually think willock is essential.... .. two of those 3 and Willock would be nice.. Joelinton and willock link up well if you recall. Injuries will dictate it eventually
I like Howe I just don't agree with everything he does. It shouldn't bother people what I think though. I would just like to point out that I do credit when it's due whether I like a manager or not... that's not the way many operate. I may be extreme but it's balanced at least...not just after people because I don't like them.
All I agree with but under **** circumstances he did a good job. Bruce was a horrible man. I hated him. But he did do as good as Rafa and the sun shined out of his arse. The difference was Rafa played us.
Same. I feel like our opinions are sometimes taken out of context. Howe is doing a good job of getting results. But we are not playing well.
The fans were horrible to him from day one and when they got a reaction they said look he's being a ****... he may be one but so were they if they're completely honest with themselves. Everyone knows he's a crap manager but what I just said is true.
Football under Rafa wasn't great either. He just warmed to the fans more. And some of the transfers under Rafa were questionable to say the very least.
That poll closed some time ago and his marks are still plummeting Which suggests some shady Makem BBC employee is at work
I don't agree with everything Howe does either. I've only defended him when I think some (yourself included) go way over the top with criticism at times. Some team selections and subs have been baffling. But, based on results since he joined, he's doing something right. Yes, he's had money spent on the squad, but so has every club and we are not close to being the top spenders. He has outperformed managers with far bigger budgets.
I don't care what people think on here on the subject because I've seen the way they go after managers and players over the years They can try and find reasons to justify it or say this that and explain it away, whatever, but they know it happened, so the lectures given that fact are a little bizarre. Perhaps they can draw out a set of rules and actually follow them themselves in future ?
OK fair enough .. I take the piss with it.. tbh I thought people knew that.... your post is reasonable so I will agree
Roy, extreme and balanced = bullshit You know it, I know it, everyone knows it So please calm down on the absolute dour, downbeat rhetoric you constantly bombard the forum with, please Cheer up for fuks sake
I mean we’ve been poor but the results are good. I couldn’t see the plan nor did I feel the players - with niggly arguing on the pitch - were really buying into it. Willock changed the game along with Barnes, who’s just ****ing infuriating - can he not just find even a modicum of consistency?! Brilliant goal but he’s one In four. Scratching my head as to why we’ve spent £100k pw on Lloyd Kelly. Osula is young but how does he not get a minute as at least an unknown quantity in this game? We’re really scrapping for results which is good and bad. Spirit is there but where’s the plan?
