Literally half our team on a booking now. This isn’t finishing 11 v 11. I sincerely hope we’ve learned from our past mistakes and don’t lose our heads.
If Spurs go down to 10 and Ange plays like he did against Chelsea then he deserves to be sacked because Spurs will be on the end of a hiding.
And I'd remind everyone that White did not get booked for the foul Son early on that was worse than any of the Spurs 5...
They heard people saying VAR was ruining games, and wanted to remind people they were doing it long before
I think you are way over the top. The only way forward for Spurs is stability of management you need some patience
I don’t get why as a ref you would try and be the star of the show. These games deserve to be 11 v 11 unless there are some stupid dangerous challenges. There has been nothing like that but we have 7 bookings. The referring in this country is ****ing pathetic.
so common. Especially in games like this, where all the fans want is a game that’s not full of unnecessary controversy.
The bookings mean there must be changes, but we also need to liven up the play. Bergvall would be a risk but he offers a directness that we are lacking. But defensively we need some experience, so I'd be inclined to maybe bring on Ben for Udogie.
Agreed. It's super annoying and ruins a good spectacle because players have to think twice before every action. It also impacts fluency to the game because he's not letting it flow. Been quite a cagey affair so far, but that's to be expected in a fierce derby like this.
I always found it interesting that Italian papers also grade the referee after a match alongside the players Imagine what some of the WhoScored ratings for Webb, Ellery, Poll, Twatkinson and Clusterfuck would have been...
Exactly it completely ruins the game. And also any time any of the yellow carded players makes any type of tackle now, the other side will be trying to get that player sent off. I just want it to be a fiery passionate game and the best team wins, not down to some ****ty refereeing decision.
I don’t get why they do it. 9 times out of 10 it puts the ref in an awkward situation later in the game where someone deserves a second yellow, but they don’t stay consistent in their decision making. Which only makes things worse.
It’s been pretty even. Arsenal have had the better chances, but given the way we have set up that’s not surprising as we are always going to be open when they counter attack. I’d take a draw tbh, sorry if that makes me negative
