Massive blow to us, especially as he hitting top form. Liverpool fans have been raving about him for a while but now other fans have finally started to appreciate how good he is. Such a shame. I think Kenny will bring in another midfielder - both Spearing and Shelvey are good youngsters but we need experience. Gerrard will also return to the team but he does not have the discipline to play in the Lucas role and plus he's becoming rather injury prone.
I think we should look for a loan and wait until the summer to buy a CM if KK wants. Unless it is someone like a Banega then we should look to loan someone. Not really sure on who to be honest.
I'm totally pissed off about that. But however pissed off I am, Lucas will be feeling it ioo times worse. As Bluff said, all the stick he's had and he just kept his head down and worked and worked and developed into an outstanding player. Devastating really, for him and us.

that sucks, for him, the club and for us... spearing can cover but he wont be as good,will be interesting to see if someone is brought in in january, even if a stop gap veteran.
I'll hold my hands up and say I bashed him when he was first here. Then again, he did come in as an AM who could score goals and was turned into a DM/CM so it was harsh on him but he showed incredible persevearance (sp I know). As for Hendo playing there, I think he could but I am not sure I would like to see that though, he has been doing OK out wide or in the AM role.

Maybe, but for all we know, Lucas might have told him to **** off I'm going back out there! I know RHC is a firm believer in your ACL goes and you cant move, but I have seen players continue playing like nothing happened then notice it after the game, then I have seen some who can't, some who scream in agony, some who are just like " what happened". I think it is more your body and how you can deal with a physical problem like that. Either way, the ACL is a tough one and each replay you could tell the knee was not meant to go in like that.
Loan for him though? Get playing time then Marseille can sell him on after (hoepfully) good performances? Doesn't mean he has to sign for us.
Think a proper right sided player should still be priority number 1 in the window ( Lucas Moura , please), followed by a fox in the box type
Well if we get a natural finisher then that would allow Suarez to drop back to second striker/CAM (his perfect role) and then Gerrard and Adam in the midfield with two on the wing
