Just had a gander at the goals. Ballard unlucky but we do shoot ourselves in the foot at times. A point would have been canny by the sound of the second half but hey ho. Just for curiosity was it a penalty right at the end
Your google translate is not working mate - 'The problem today was the lack of control. We were too open and the opponent had too many opportunities to score.'
Also we are naturally discussing a Patto mistake but inches the other way on the first and we would be talking a fantastic save. Fine margins
aaahh feck!!! first half was as expected to be honest but we never got the second goal we needed...2nd half we did not turn up till the last 10 minutes, basically sat in our own half letting them play thinking they would have a hard time scoring. reggies first test being 'under the cosh' and i did not see any changes on the pitch, probably thinking it was the same side (mainly) that had done so well so put his faith into them. just reminds us you can not go into any games thinking 'they are not good' and expect the win, they worked hard in the second half to keep us back so credit to argyle, flipped the game on it's head. ref was ok although a wee bit 'iffy' on a couple of shouts, the penalties, ours was the best call but the one against us we have seen that type of challenge game after game and refs ignore it..swings and roundabouts i guess. for all our midfield had a day off my MotM goes to jobe, more good work from him today just 'mopping up' around the middle without trying to attract attention to himself, to me it shows a very mature outlook on his game, no surprise people forget his age. EDIT: cheers again RTB...
Didn’t see that coming. Bad day at the office and too many players off key. Hey ho, still top of the league
I personally think we lack in the striker position and it showed today. Mayenda was a passenger. No presence nowt.
Ballard was poor but I have some sympathy as he had 45 mins of preseason and has been chucked in at the deep end. Be tempted to start Mepham v Boro regardless of the injury situation and let DB work on his fitness
I think a point would’ve been a fair result, their 3 goals were bad goals to concede, the first was a fluke, the second was a soft penalty, the third was a bad mistake from Patterson. onwards to Boro.
I couldn't really see what happened but Mundle lost it - just a bit - can't see why the ref only only booked Mundle when they were wrestling, and then he booked Szűcs instead.
I think Le Bris will learn loads from that today. Disappointed to get beat given we were winning at HT. If anything the first goal seemed to galvanise Plymouth as they had a good spell at the end of the first half. In every other game we've managed to ride that tricky 15 min period at the starr of the second half and didnt today. Its bloody unfortunate, its a very good save from Patto and Ballard is just trying to get back in. Its poor from him for the penna, get the ball clear and you don't have a challenge to make. For a poor half you'd take 2-2 when Mundle scored, another very good finish from the lad. 3 in 3 games, that is very encouraging. Theres even a bit of hope for us to use the momentum to try and win it. Their third goal is stinking. Its a shot from distance and you'd back Patto to do better, hold the ball, or get it away anywhere but back out into the mass of bodies. The rebound is not even well hit by Edwards and goes under him to compile the mistake. An off day in defence. I feel that we missed the experience of Alan Browne in midfield today. Hes the calming influence and we didnt get him on the field early enough.
