Having given up 3 goals in 3 of our last 4 games is worrying to say the least especially as our defence has long been a bad aspect of our play. Once again we are looking like a team that has not only lost it's way but the scariest of all is that I can't see a structure that can win us games. The new players that were supposed to make us into a contender has been blown out of the park and Armstrong clearly is not a true goal scorer but more like a mop up act whilst Mayulu was totally invisible today and looked like he has lost interest. Quite frankly I am of the opinion that Liam and the entire squad have lost sight of their target and seem more like a relegation outfit than a top of the table team. A loss against Oxford should ring the alarm bells but if that is the case expecting positive action by our management is a waste of space and time. I truly believe that Liam is not up to this level of football and his selections and subs tend to point that way and here we go again on the road to too many questions that will go unanswered. Will Oxford United reach the top table before we ever go there - possibly?

Played like strangers, with no belief, desire or direction.
    Bloody worrying.

I never said NP didn’t improved our league position year on year, I said we were never mid-table, and that he didn’t have zero to spend - all factually correct points. You carry on with Red Robin and your rose tinted view of NP if you wish.
Regarding LM, I have said in other posts on this thread that the last 2 games have been a long way from good enough.

Just as I said, utterly delulu! 4.5???? Just plucking numbers out of thin air. We paid 1.75-2mil for him on the back of a 25mil deal being done for Alex Scott!!!!!! So if you think that’s spending money, you are utterly off the reservation bud. We finished 14th the season before NP was fired and were probably set to finish around 10th to 14th again that season. If not better. So mid table.

Never thought I would agree with RR, but I feel he’s had enough chances and can’t see him improving. I think it’s time to go so we can try and salvage something. Never thought we was going anywhere with Nige but can’t defend LM on past two weeks.
He wanted a number 10 and yet didn’t play him there until 2-0 down.

Nope, we paid £2.5 m for Knight and £2m for McCrori, plus over a million for Cornick.

Top 8 teams are upper table, next 8 teams are mid table, next 8 are lower end of table. We finished 14th and were 15th when he was sacked. That’s mid table.

No, mid-table is 12th, above that is top half, below that is bottom half. You mean we were close to the top of the middle third, 2 different things!!!

Again, refusing to acknowledge the point. 3 different sources say 1.75 for Knight. So again, you’re wrong.

2 more bad results and performances and I might be inclined to agree. However, LJ and NP had by far worse runs than this and were backed, so I doubt SL will act that quickly

So when everyone in football refers to mid table teams. They are all referring to bang on the middle number in a group of 20 or 24? So what is 13th in our league? You’re a card, hilarious <laugh>

Acknowledge what point, I’ve acknowledged them all…. Even on ITV last week in the ROI v Eng games they said he was a £2.5m signing for us, guess they’re wrong as well, but your right:headbang:

I didn’t say top half, I said mid table. Again, can you follow that? Save your drawings for showing your friends on the short bus you ride in on.

    Progress?! <laugh><laugh><laugh>

Well a.) that’s a lie, they didn’t say that. So keep em coming. He was on the field for barely 5 touches of the ball. They didn’t even mention he played for us let alone his transfer fee from over a year and two windows ago.

B.) if you did miraculously hear something that wasn’t mentioned, it kind of proves my point you’re deluded

That was trash.. not even 2nd best in that game..
too many changes to quickly imo.. as RP says, they look like strangers..
Our passing from front to back is all over the place.. the movement and relationship of the players knowing what each other are doing seems non existent.. just not clicking.. Needs bloody work on the training field..

They absolutely did say that. I know it doesn’t suit your narrative, but that doesn’t make it untrue. If it was the figure you say, then I will hold my hand up to be wrong. I’ve always believed it be £2.5m, and that was reinforced by ITV. When they announce a fee as undisclosed, again, as I think they did for him, it’s open to interpretation. Knight came on in the 58th minute, so about half the game using your logic<laugh>

Whatever arguments are being made about this manager over another is a waste of time because we need to address only the present, and it doesn't look good from any angle. We consistently seem to employ the wrong players and then expect them to play out of position and pick starting line-ups that can't do the job and when they do so such as against Millwall we still try and throw it away with what must be one of the worst defences in the division. Liam needs to face the fact that he is essentially failing to do the job for which he was hired and his future has to be in question. Will our management step up and give him their backing, such as they have done with transfer funds, or will they read the riot act because these performances are getting worse and the bottom three is awaiting us with another loss? Why do we have to endure supporting a team that rarely if ever get things right and seem more than willing to produce the same apathetic approach when there hhas to be a better way but we have no idea how to find it?

Terrible at Derby and exactly the same problems today but however wound up I am SL/JL won't be sacking LM anytime soon.
Most fans were stunned after the way NP was removed and now more than irate after a great transfer window backing for LM.
But get real, he has to be given at least a dozen games. Only then we'll be better able to judge if JL made a huge error or masterstroke appointing LM.
