Norwich had a good win a couple of weeks ago and after the international break Norwich travel to south Wales to face Swansea. Hopefully some of the new players are beginning to feel at home with Norwich and the fine football can start to become a reality. Unlike Norwich Swansea have only added 4 players this year, one of which is on loan so probably don't have half the gelling issues that Norwich might have the first ten or so games of the season. One of the big questions I have for this game is, will Sargent be fit and if not, who will replace him? Norwich sit on 5 and Swansea 4 points after 4 games each Form Swansea LWDL Norwich LDDW
This should be an interesting match-up between two teams both committed to an attacking, possession-based approach. Luke Williams, who manages Swansea, was assistant to Russ Martin at both MK Dons and Swansea, before taking the reins at non-league Notts County in 2022, which season was spent in that gripping promotion battle with Wrexham. He joined Swansea in January this year, with the mission to restore football played "the Swansea way", replacing Michael Duff (now managing Huddersfield) who, much to the dismay of disgruntled Swans fans, had declared a different approach was needed, the game having changed since the days of Martinez, Rogers, etc. I am anticipating a fascinating watch and definitely not a goal-less draw.
Well put Robbie. You really are quite a knowledgeable person and if you aren't careful we might all start to like you!!
All it takes, 1950, is the luxury of time and a fast internet connection -- and, of course, an understanding of grammar honed in all those interminable Latin lessons
I have plenty of time and superfast broadband. Perhaps I should have spent more time on my latin homework and less time chasing girls, playing and watching sport and sneaking into Pubs!!
Excellent researched summary. Thank you. Far better than the usual ' we are great, you are rubbish, we will thrash you ' crap we usually get. Only thing I think you got wrong is the score - I don't think you will lose.
So who would you leave out for Onel to start? He is now, unfortunately, an impact sub, not a starter.
In fairness - I don't know. All I know is that I would get irritated if had upped me level and still got overlooked
To answer my own question, Slimani is apparently out with a muscle injury picked up in the first week of the international break. Sounds as if it may be serious. Does anyone have more details?
